I'm changing my vote to the unnamed Caribbean juco big man playing in the mid-south. He's a beast in the paint. Great shot blocker.

Don't jinx it by posting his name on here if you figure it out.

I want the Nigerian juco dude.
This who I’d like, but he just retweeted an offer from FIU yesterday that makes me think he isn’t close on a decision.

I'll go with 6-9 junior Edwin Daniels, from Connor State, by way of Our Lutheran in the Bronx (I can get there in 40 minutes).

Coach K loves scooping up transfers from around the MAC. Seems like they get one every year.

UMass must be revamping its backcourt, adding a Top 100 JUCO PG.

Javon Simmons chooses Ohio over Collegevof Charleston and Oregon State.

Nice to steal one from Tod!

I know he's an established All MAC caliber player and starter in this league and he averaged 14 and 9. But dude he's from Gahanna. Can't Boals recruit from anywhere else? What a bum.

And yes that's sarcasm.

Welcome Javan!

Would love to see Simmons come down to Athens from Toledo. A bit undersized for the position (6-7), but still a productive, old-school post player. Just what the doctor ordered for Ohio.
Great to hear that this worked out. Plays a lot bigger than his 6-7 frame.

Sarcasm aside, could that be one of the reasons he's coming? Perhaps, he knows some of the other Gahanna guys, though they'd be somewhat younger.

Not sure of any of that if you're talking about the Reynoldsburg guys. But he posted the pic of he and Boals when he was being recruited out of high school and this seems like a relationship that lasted well beyond recruitment. Toddy K seems like an OK dude but I think Boals has the relational aspect. I am starting to think he may not be the greatest X and O guy or rotational decision maker but how guys relate to him is truly something special. Javan is going to be a beast for us and the thought of Pavs and him pick and rolling all day long makes me giddy since Pavs really didn't have a true pick and roll guy this year. He had AJC popping out and Vic always posted up.

Sorry, got my eastside Columbus suburbs mixed up. Should have known better, as my wife is from Bexley! But, Gahanna and Reynoldsburg are close enough that there might be some familiarity.

Absolutely! I think Boals' ability to get Columbus kids is huge.

Are we convinced that Boals is done portaling???

FGCU shooting guard Blaise Vespe has been contacted by Ohio.

They're all fighting for a finite pool of funds at Ohio. Guessing AJB was told he either is getting no raise or a cut. Sure hope Sheldon isn't getting paid.

That's how I feel as well. We've lost Brown and yet some guys on the roster who should be in the portal didn't jump in. Frustrating for sure.
