Despite our lack of variety on offense, we run a lot of different sets on defense. I suspect we'll run the 1-3-1, particularly if you all have struggled against this at some point. If memory serves me, I think we ran the 1-3-1 against UK in the first game of the year because Kentucky/Calipari has struggled against the 1-3-1. Unfortunately, for us, Kentucky is...Kentucky.  We like to trap and press, and thrive in transition. We're long, athletic, and gamble a lot on defense.   When teams slow us down, we look horrible.

Can you give us a snapshot of your team's strengths/weaknesses, key players?

Greetings Bobcat fans,

We've been a bipolar team this year: sometimes we've looked great (e.g. Dayton away, Mississippi State away), sometimes we've looked abysmal (e.g., S.C. Upstate, Stetson).

He actually answered his own question when he asked about a summary of our team.

Since I doubt very many people are heading to ETSU we should have a lively chat room tonight: http://www.bobcatattack.com/chat/

Here's a link to our season statistics:

http://www.ohiobobcats.com/sports/m-baskbl/stats/2010-2011/teamcume.html

We've been a pretty good offensive team for most of our games this year.  At our best, we work from the inside out to our three point shooters (Freeman and Kellogg), and get dribble penetration and dimes from D.J. Cooper.    Our post players have improved recently, especially Washington and Baltic.  At our worst, we also regress to isolation at times and don't pass well.

Defensively, we've struggled at times but seem to have gotten better recently.  We switch up defenses and use man to man and variations of a 2-3 zone.

Wow, I'm underwhelmed by the volume of traffic on here today.

ETSU favored by 5 1/2.

Looks like Ricardo Johnson will be back with the team tonight and the rest has Nick Kellogg back close to 100%.

Glad to hear Kellogg is back to normal, we've missed him the last few games, but still won most so that's good.  Other than that, I'm wondering how the long layoff will affect the team.  You can't say we haven't had time to look at film of ETSU a lot.  I'm looking forward to a good game tonight.  It should be interesting, because I have no idea which Ohio team will show up.

Listening to the broadcast and D.J. was hampered by an injured thigh against Marshall but says he's much better.

The video is about a minute off the radio feed, the chat is not working for me, our bigs are in foul trouble...not good.

The crappy video is not crappy enough to hide the fact that we look like crap so far. 18-3 run for ETSU.

If I heard Russ correctly, these are MAC area referees.  Why would anyone allow any MAC refs to have work in a postseason tournament?

I don't know, they are awful though.  Need some bounces to go Ohio's way as they have all gone ETSU's way so far.
