Egbuniwe (sp?) 6-7 forward from St. Bonaventure just went in the portal.

Had 12 pts against us in 29 minutes. Has improved his shooting over the years.

Biggest school that might want him is U of Memphis (his original home area) but if Penny Hardaway doesn't want him....you never know...

Adding Boals follow — Sean Registr Jr. from East Florida State JUCO. 6’7 and from Cleveland. Like Langsy, a scoring machine at his level averaging 25ppg, shooting 66% overall and 40% from 3 off 69 attempts.

Like Langsy, also intriguing based off the shooting and scoring numbers — even more so with the size.

Not that there was ever any tidbits on interest, but Registr Jr. has committed to Liberty and Langsy has committed to South Alabama.

Schools that have better records than us over the last two seasons and were regular season champs of their conferences in that span are adding lower level talent.

Everyone's doing it and it seems inevitable at this point.

We’re on a long list of schools to express interest in St. Philip’s (JUCO) Izzy Echeozo. 6’8 and averaged 14ppg, 11rpg, and 2 bpg while shooting 48%.

Izzy is repped by my classmate’s agency that also reps Simmons.

Is this Kingsville College's team where he was supposed to have played a year but they don't show any stats for him?

Yes.

I think these guys with Javan will work the ball. We would also need a real big like a Sylvester Ogbonda type and a HS PG and 3 and D. If Burris and Kuany stay with Mosley I feel this would be a likeable team!!!

Boals has started following recent entrants Mason Blackwood from Penn State and JJ Frakes from Oregon. Both freshman.

Frakes redshirted, originally from Michigan and Blackwood played in 26 games with less than 3ppg on the season. Blackwood is also from Rochester. I imagine Boals and Lamar still have some connects in that area.

We are on a list of 60 schools to reach out to Lee’s (D2) Ben Ritger. Interesting because his player page shows he wasn’t a starter but averaged 11ppg while hitting 41% from 3PT (41/99). 6’7 — cheap shooting? Illinois is even listed.

Devin Brown, 6-6 freshman, from Davidson and originally Lewis Center, is in the portal. Could be a good get.

He did well enough to make the A-10 freshman team. I don't see him going "down" unless he's super home sick. Is this an instance of "Hey I averaged 6.5 a game in the A-10. Gimme a quarter mil!"

Update on him -- he's now following the entire staff and vice versa. Wasn't before when I posted this. Might be one to keep an eye on.

I can't find a website for that team. What conference are they in?

Is he in the top 200 juco players in the nation? I saw a list but his name was not on it.

This was all I could find via his Twitter -> https://stphilipsathletics.wixsite.com/mensbasketball

The website low key gives Bishop Sycamore vibes. But, this is what a Google search shows:

“St. Philip's College (SPC) in San Antonio, Texas, features men's and women's basketball teams, but they operate as extramural (club-level) teams rather than competitive NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) scholarship programs.
Alamo Colleges
Alamo Colleges
+1
Level of Play: The teams compete in the Texas Collegiate Athletic Conference, playing against other local community colleges, club teams, and some university JV squads, rather than the high-level competitive JUCO circuit.”

Hopefully the follows don’t mean anything in this case. Wild he has so many schools express interest.

Is Scott Drew at Baylor interested in his point guard too?

We landed both Simmons and Breath on this day a year ago. Hopefully we see a commit or two today.

Cornelius Williams, UNA center...still no crystal ball pick on 247.

Maybe our best shot at the next DW3 level post player?

Why not? Lateral move. Sort of.
