Haven't seen much in numbers except Tuggle ran a 4.5, 19 reps on bench, broad 9-9, SS 4.13, vt 39.5 . He was 5' 8" and 206lbs. Any chance at the next level?

I honestly don't think any of these guys have a prayer at UDFA.

I think a few might get a look from an NFL team through UDFA but I doubt that any will be on a roster past the May camps.

Tuggle was the only one I thought might have a chance as a practice squad player or special teams/3rd down back.

I agree. I was always very high on Tuggle and thought he should have gotten more playing time than he did. I would not be surprised to see him signed as free agent and to eventually make a roster. Might not happen, but would not surprise me.

How good of route runner is he? How great are his pass catching abilities? He is faster than both Julian Edelman and Cooper Kupp. He is not as tall as either but weighs in their range. These guys have mental telepathy with their QB's so more to it for them then just great athletes.

More receivers than running backs on a team so it would seem that Tuggle has more versatility beyond college if he can transition to a new position and has other intangibles. Gotta love that name.

75 players in the NCAA rushed for more yards and 50 averaged more per carry than he did. Most all will post competitive numbers to what he did at pro-day.

I wasn’t sure exactly where to put this but thought it would be as good as any place here since it deals with former players going, or attempting to go, pro. Blair Brown is showing on the roster of the Pittsburgh Maulers of the USFL. He is the only Ohio player listed. Off the top of my head I remember seeing former MAC players from Kent, Ball State, EMU, Buffalo, NIU, and Toledo. May be forgetting one or two. Non-D1 programs seem to be fairly well represented also.

Been seeing a fair amount of buzz on Armani Rogers in the draft as a TE. He has been on quite a few visits with teams. Was not expecting that, but it is awesome. He did his pro day at UCLA I believe.

Armani had a really good pro day. He may need to gain about 15 pounds.
Rogers was a participant at the UCLA Pro Day, posting a 4.56-second 40-yard dash, 4.31-second short shuttle, 7.20-second three-cone, 34 inches in the vertical jump and 10'10" in the broad jump.
Rogers isn't your traditional tight end prospect. He's endured a position change, having played quarterback throughout his college career at UNLV for his first three seasons prior to transferring to Ohio for his final two years of eligibility. However, as he prepares to make the leap into the NFL, Rogers will play tight end.
With a notable frame of 6’5 3/8″ and 233 pounds, Rogers has the size to transition into a tight end role but an adjustment period will be required. He frequently ran the ball while playing quarterback, moving extraordinary well for such a big-bodied signal-caller.

Thanks for posting, allen. I am very happy to see that Tuggle may get a chance. He was my favorite Bobcat on last year’s team. Not only do I like the way he plays the game, I’m also impressed with his intellect and the way he represents OHIO off the field. He’ll do us proud!

Hustle Belt gives Rogers the best shot at being picked up ("likely UDFA") as a TE/WR. The others are only "potential" UDFAs. https://www.hustlebelt.com/2022/4/16/23027103/2022-nfl-dr... .

I wondered last year when they started Rourke why they didn't work Rogers more into a receiving role. He is a potential difference-maker with the ball in his hands and it would have helped him get a longer look by NFL scouts. I feel like that was a miss all the way around.

Yes, I hope they both get signed.

Are there any Bobcats in the USFL?

He is the number 1 rated linebacker in the league. It seems he may make it back to the NFL with a strong performance. He also had his previous charges dismissed.

Blair’s Maulers play on FS1 tonight at 8:00. I might have to tune in for a while.

Looks like the Bears have signed Tuggle.

With his speed I think he's got potential to make the roster this season.
