Terrible news for him. Quote said that he was progressing well, too.

Not good at all. If broken, we might not see him at all this season. I saw another article where Frank said he could be out for an "extended period of time".

Heartbreaking news. Hopefully he can fully recover and eventually, even if by next season, find his way into the rotation. Imagine if he’d not declared for the draft and suffered this kind of injury.

Here’s to his speedy and full recovery!

I've been looking on line but haven't seen anything about the severity of his
injury.

Anyone have any additional information ?

CBS sports lists him as probable for the start of the season.

Only thing I've seen so far.

Clippers rookie point guard Jason Preston had right foot surgery in Los Angeles today and is expected to miss a significant part of the season, sources tell ESPN. Preston was the 33rd pick in the July NBA Draft out of Ohio University.

Sucks big-time.

Really glad he turned pro and it worked out how it did with getting drafted and guaranteed money. Can you imagine the injury happening as an Ohio Bobcat? You wonder if he still would have been drafted down the road after a significant injury like this one.

Jason had foot surgery and will miss a significant portion of the season, per a Woj bomb.

That's why you go when you have the chance to go. A foot injury like that may have sunk him in next year's draft. Instead, he'll get to keep working with the Clippers staff. And maybe he can teach Kawhi how to laugh or something.

Caught the beginning of the Clippers at Warriors game last night with TNT showing early in the broadcast a graphic of each team's star player missing the game due to injury - Kawhi Leonard and Klay Thompson. Mentioned to my son that TNT was missing the real story and should have had Jason Preston and Klay Thompson instead.

A recent update with nothing new to report. JP still targeted for return later this season.

Today I saw a video clip and related comment about Preston joining his Clippers teammates for a few rounds of pre-game (or earlier in the day session) layups a couple of days ago. He did not appear to be in official team warmup gear like the others but was rather in more casual gym attire.

I saw that as well. Hopefully he will return to the court soon!

Just saw an article in The Athletic from about a week ago with more videos of him training. The reporter estimates he’ll see some game time in late March/April in a Q&A section.

The Clippers just dealt Bledsoe, Winslow, and Keon Johnson to Portland for Norman Powell and Robert Covington. I'd expect LAC to address their point guard in some other way(s) between now and the start of next season, but for now it means there's less depth piled on top of Jason once he returns to health.

I understand Jason stopped by the Convo today. Wonder if he’ll be able to stick around long enough to attend the game tomorrow night? Hope his recovery is going well.

Not sure, I hope he does! Can't wait to see him play.

That’s great. Glad to hear it. Would be nice if we would be able to acknowledge that he is there sometime during the evening on the PA and video board. Maybe Russ could even pull off a brief interview with him. (I am assuming there wouldn’t be any NCAA violations involved with such things)
