Ohio would have to win five straight games now to win the MAC tournament title. Will play the loser of No. 1 Kent State and No. 8 Buffalo at about 12:30 p.m. tomorrow in an elimination game.

Tyler Wells homered with two outs in the ninth to tie the game at 5 against Buffalo.

Buffalo won it on a two-out hit in the bottom of the 10th. Ohio is eliminated.

A great ending to a great career!

30 games below .500 over the last 9 years. If you take our the non D1 opponents its probably closer to 50 games under .500.

The new regime cant get here fast enough.

That makes 5 straight postseason losses, after not going to the postseason at all for about 4-5 seasons in the mid-2000s. To top it off, this was Buffalo's first postseason win in D1 history. Embarrassing.

So the season ended similarly to the way it began? It was the same score as the UNC-Wilmington game and it also happened to go to extra innings.

What a disappointing spring season for OU athletics after so much success in the fall and winter!

Well the subject of most of past threads (Fire Carbone) was a non-issue this year, to be fair, so of course the number of threads was lower.

Partly my point. No one cares about Ohio baseball these days. We need a coach to change that.

Our AD, Jim Schaus came to us from Wichita State, a perennial baseball power that appeared in 27 NCAA tourneys since '80, 7 College World Series, and won a national championship. Given this history, plus our AD's success in hiring coaches at OHIO, I'm optimistic that he can land a coach that can put this program on the national map.
