Sweet, I found a virgin board.  This post does serve a purpose other than me grabbing the first post.  Our boys keep playing well in the minors:

Marc Krauss - .333, 20 2B, 14 HR, 61 RBI, 56 Runs.  He has a legit shot at Califonria League MVP.
Jerrod Yakubik - .342, 4 2B, 6 RBI, 2 SB, only 2 K in 38 AB.
Robert Maddox - .286, 3 2b, 1 3B, 8 RBI, 9 Runs in 35 AB

Pretty good numbers for sure for all of them.  Hope everything has gone OK for GEldermire with his surgery.  Any updates on that?   Did he go ahead and have the surgery?

Krauss was named Cal League player of the week for this past week on milb.com.

California League
Marc Krauss, Visalia
.581/.594/.968, 18-for-31, 3 2B, 0 3B, 3 HR, 15 RBI, 5 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 SB
Marc Krauss plated five runs in his second game of the week, but he was still just getting warmed up. He collected at least one RBI in each of the week's next five games, and he scored in every game but one. The D-backs prospect was especially hot from Tuesday to Thursday, going 11-for-14 with two homers, two doubles, three runs scored and seven RBIs over those three games. When the 2009 second-rounder "cooled off" on Friday, he still had a four-RBI game and swatted a two-run homer.

Geez...and many on here thought it was the equipment(bats)...or the launching pad best known as Wren Field....or even the mediocre MAC pitching.  Looks like this guy can swing the bat after all.  Good job, MK...pretty impressive.

Y'all forgot Adam Russell and the role (albeit small one) he is playing for the best team in the National League.

I left Russell off because I didn't really consider him a recent grad (which I really shouldve called departures).  He did do well for a little while for the Padres, but he has struggled pretty bad in AAA this year (ERA around 7 last I saw).

And yes, Eldermire is not listed because it looks like he won't get to make his pro debut until the fall league at best.

In addition, some not as recent guys:

Adam Fox, 3B, drafted as a junior in 2003 I think, is having a real rough time for Washington's AA team in Harrisburg. .098 average in 82 at-bats with 4 RBIs. He's played at AAA for short stints the last two years and struggled there. He did perform quite well in AA last year while in the Texas organization, but AAA has been a hang-up and now he's having a tough year in AA.

And of course, Adam Russell, 3.72 ERA in 9 2/3 innings for the Padres. Gave up 0 runs in his first 7 2/3 innings, but gave up 4 runs in 2 innings in his last effort, which was May 27. I guess that 1 bad outing was enough to send him back to AAA, where he has struggled a bit also. 3-7 with a 6.25 ERA in 31 2/3 innings. He does have 32 strikeouts. Interestingly, he is 7-1 in his big league career.

I think all of the other older Bobcats have all been forced out of professional baseball unfortunately.

Can anyone here tell me how/why Carbone has Adam Fox listed as a Bobcat in the Majors?  The guy has never been on an active roster!  Sometimes Joe really reaches.

Wasn't he on a 40-man roster for a couple hours? That doesn't count!?!?!?

That must be what he is counting but a 40 man roster is not an active roster, and I dont think he's ever been in the big league uniform.

According to the Baseball Almanac, Adam Fox is not considered a Major League Player.

http://www.baseball-almanac.com/college/ohio_university_b...

Please don't get me wrong, Fox is one of my favorite players, however this is not right to put him up on a board to which he does not yet belong.  Hopefully someday he will make it.

Let's show a little more respect when we are throwing out the term "recent grads".

The only one that fits that criteria of the any of those guys you mentioned is Yakubik.

Here's how they ended up::

Marc Krauss - .302 BA, .371 OBP, 27 2B, 25 HR, 87 RBI, 107 Runs (A Ball).  Named to postseason all-star team (teammate Goldschmidt won MVP).  Will play in Aziona Fall League
Jerrod Yakubik - .307 BA, .389 OBP, 10 2B, 22 RBI, 26 Runs (Rookie)
Robert Maddox - .269 BA, .320 OBP, 15 2B, 6 3B, 7 HR, 46 RBI, 38 Runs in 35 AB (Rookie)
Eldermire - Had surgery before playing any ball and will be ready next spring.
Adam Russell - 4-9, 4.88 ERA, 51 IP, 51 K, 32 BB (AAA)
Adam Fox - Real bad numbers in AA...Could be done.

I had seats near the Rays' bullpen for Opening Day, and I stood up and screamed the entirety of Stand Up And Cheer when Adam Russell came into the game.

Adam Russell is doing well with the Rays, 2 runs allowed in 8 innings.  Some struggles by Farnsowrth & others could give him some closing opportunities.

Krauss started off struggling, but has picked it back up some, hitting .270 with a .378 OBP.  Only 1 homer but 5 doubles and 2 triples.

Fox is playing sparingly at AA.

Eldermire, Yakubik & Maddox don't have any 2011 numbers yet.  I think they all are in extended spring training.

I was doing a little bit of reading and it seems like it Marc can play well this season, he'll get a shot next year at The SHow.

I was trying to find out where Jerod Yakubik was playing this year, but then found he was released back in November by the Angels.  Did he catch on anywhere else?

Shame to see a kid who hit .307 in 2010 and .344 in 2011 got released. He was a 34th rd draft pick, but still those numbers aren't too bad.
