One of the few negatives of this season so far is a precipitous drop in our FT percentage.  My first thought was that losing some players from last year including Tommy might have a lot to do with our team's overall percentage dropping but that's not really the case at all. Losing the guys who graduated (or haven't played yet this year) should have helped our percentage.   Even with Tommy hitting 85% that group shot an overall FT % of 67.6%.  The guys who returned from last year shot 74.3% on the year. This year those same players are hitting 61.5% of their FTs.   The main culprit is Ivo Baltic who hit nearly 80% last year but this year is 10-22 (45.5%).  But even taking him out of the equation those guys are hitting only 65%.  Here's the breakdown:

Baltic
11-12 - 45.5%
10-11 - 78.3%

Keely
11-12 - 57.1%
10-11 - 70.7%

Johnson
11-12 - 50.0%
10-11 - 62.2%

Kellogg
11-12 - 76.0%
10-11 - 66.7%

Cooper
11-12 - 70.0%
10-11 - 74.9%

Hall
11-12 - 100.0%
10-11 - 77.8%

Hall is the only player who has seen his percentage go up but he's only had 4 attempts.  This is purely anecdotal but it seems that Ivo is much more upright in his stance this year.  I'm sure they are practicing but it seems odd that there would be a team-wide slump like this.  Hopefully we get this fixed because it will come back to haunt us if we don't.

I'm sure they are.  At some point, missing as many as they have been is going to cost a game.  Marshall and Oakland could have been a little less close with a few made free throws.  Not that I'm complaining about wins.

I noticed Ivo holding the ball too deep in his palm this year. He has changed his delivery to the point where he is directing the ball instead of shooting it on free throws whereas on his jumpers he is getting it out on his fingertips been wanting to check the picture galleries to see if I can hone in on the exact action. .

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

He got the years switched. But Kellogg has only shot 6 free throws; far too small of a sample size to tell anything. Ricardo has 12 FTA. Reggie has 14. Way too early.

Ivo has definately looked "stiff" at the line this year. I think he just needs to relax, loosen up.
