We have truly arrived. Star chasing is an art form among Power 5 teams. Good to know we are now valuing stars over players. The guy most folks want to see in the rafters was a 3 star. Just for the record, what is the minimum number of stars we should be looking for?

Two on Rivals or 247. I don't trust the ESPN ratings. They rated Gareri as 3 stars and he now plays at Joe Walsh College and thus can say "Life's been good to me so far."

I dont really trust the recruiting sites' star ratings for mid major level recruits. For example, I saw today that Ben Roderick is rated 2 stars by 247, but the people in the know in the state of Ohio would say he's better than that.

Verbal commits has Roderick at 2 stars but 247 and Rivals have him at 3. What’s the issue?

We really won't know if it's "Mission Accomplished" until 3-4 years from now with this class. But it's certainly promising. Let's keep everyone healthy and doing what they need to do in the classroom.

True. But to put all of these pieces together so quickly is very impressive.

Absolutely 150%. I am beyond excited. Let's get them on campus and get to work.

Does anyone know how long the summer sessions are now? With the new NCAA rules on off season contact he has some good time to get them in the gym.

This is excellent recruiting by this coaching staff. They get an A from me. Overall, I dont see how they could have done better.

Moved that quote from the Ogbonda thread over here.

Totally agree. I assumed we'd end up with something like two encouraging freshman and 3 juco/grad tranfer types. And then in year 2 we'd start to see if/how Boals and staff can bring in impact kids.

McDay, Roderick, Price, Brown, and Foster?

I've quickly gone from "my, who's going to play?" to "this is encouraging" to "this could be really fun to watch".

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

I'm not on the inside of that stuff but I did see Vander Plas and McMurray earlier this week. They appeared to be leaving the Peden area, I'm assuming the weight room there.

This could be a really fun team to watch. Dartis, Preston and BVP are three guys with what I would consider extensive MAC experience after starting several games already in their careers (in Jordy's case MANY). Murrell developed throughout the season as well and got more PT. If only 3 of Price, Foster, Ogbonda, Price, McDay Brown or Roderick can step up and provide starters minutes and production we are already then set up to compete for middle of the MAC. BOOK IT! Of course being optimistic of Boals and this group I would think Price, Roderick and McDay along with Ogbonda will be ready to step in with our returnees right away. But...that's why they play the games!
