Carter's go-ahead layup today got me fondly reminiscing about other "big shots" in Ohio history. I define "big shot" as one that put us ahead for good with less than 10 seconds to go. In addition to Carter today, I can remember:

-Kenny Kaminski @ Buffalo
-Kenny Kaminski in the tourney vs Toledo
-Mo's dunk vs Buffalo
-Stevie Taylor 3 vs Kent
-Stevie Taylor and-1 layup @ Morgan State
-Tommy 3 vs Miami
-Nick Kellogg 3 @ Richmond
-Armon Basset 3 @ IUPUI (true buzzer beater!)
-Leon Williams tip-in in the tourney championship vs Buffalo
-Leon Williams off balance layup vs St. John's in Hawaii, off a full court pass from Bubba Walther (true buzzer beater? I think there was a clock issue at the end)
-Jeremy Fears 3 @ Detroit on Bracketbuster Saturday (true buzzer beater!)
-Jerome Tillman vs a very depleted Ball State team in 08, I think
-Sonny T or Whitney @ CMU or WMU in 07. Memory's foggy hear, don't remember who or where. This may have even been a true buzzer beater!

What others can you remember?

The late/great Robert Tatum knocking down the game winner vs Illinois State, NCAA first round---1983 if I recall correctly.

That bucket at IUPUI was a thing of beauty, Shabamon. I had the good fortune to be in that terrific arena that night and the shot went up almost right in front of me. You could tell it was in when it was on the way up. What made that beautiful, though, was that all five players on the floor executed perfectly - from inbound pass to the buzzer.

Also, the N’Dour dunk was crazy fun.

One near buzzer beater that wasn’t happened in Oxford. We were down late and got it tied. Nick Kellogg got his hands on an inbounds pass and launched an off balance trey from the sideline that went in at the buzzer. He was ruled to have stepped on the sideline and M#%^i was given the ball. We ended up winning in OT.

Man that is tough...

I have to go with:

1) Leon Williams tip-in in the tourney championship vs Buffalo
2) Tommy 3 vs Miami

As much as anything against Fiami matters most to me, being down 19 at the half and crushing the Buffalo big mouths was a thing of beauty. Was there to see and partied like it was 1989.

Danny-Billy- Fran-the late Randy RothPaul—Va from PA- Big John- Nate —and many many others
I am not sure who invented this phrase, but it iis true
“ there are no former bobcats-only loyal bobcats “
