3rd quarter was brutal. Maybe it is just me but I feel like NB has gotten away with lots of extra steps and/or shuffling as they shoot.

Until we guard Mabry we have no chance. Jeez.

Yeah, Johnson is in foul trouble. This team is very different without Hooks and Johnson both on the floor.

Ohio gets an 86-85 win at home against one of the true Blue Bloods of the women's game. Notre Dame was down a couple of starters and it literally looked like Ohio was going to blow them out early in third ahead by 14. Boldon chose to sit Erica Johnson nearly the whole 4th quarter with 4 fouls and Notre Dame took a 7 point lead near the end of the third, But with everyone back on the court in the fourth quarter Ohio came back and won.

It's a shame that this W was played during the pandemic with no fans.

Watched that game before tuning in the men's game. Great win for the ladies! This team has a lot of talent and very good team chemistry. I think we have at least one player who has future in the WNBA. Hope at some point in this season, we will be able to watch them in person. Can't get that vaccine soon enough!

Yes echo that as great W for the Bobcats. Crying shame that nobody got to watch the Irish go down in the Convo. Give Bolden credit as his schedule is a tough one year in and year out.

Good win, Bolden got them together at half. Gotta do better than 3 total assists and 4 bench points going forward though. Although she didn't shoot great overall, it sounded like Erica hit some tough shots and the Flames had no answer for her. I'm looking forward to seeing what she can do against ND.

I have been wondering what the schedule might look like next year. Most of the P6 schools the women have played end up home and home. We know that Syracuse and Ohio St. are coming to Athens next year. I have to believe that we will travel to Notre Dame and Liberty (who will probably be the best team in the ASUN) next year. Pitt and Butler were at the Daytona Beach classic last year so that was probably the only game in that series. We don't know if we get a return trip from TCU and Texas at some point. There will probably be some easier games, however on the road, against NCA&T, Chattanooga, and Marshall. If recent patterns continue there will also be a tough road game at IUPUI.

Two four year starters in Burris and Hooks will graduate and the schedule could be absolutely brutal. In order to be up to it, we'll need to get a lot more scoring out of Kroll and Beck, plus at least one of probably Guice, Hale, or Mace will need to really step up. Burris plays close to forty minutes a game and another big, probably Garnett, is going to have a lot more minutes and maybe start. We have seen no minutes from the other bigs. Antonova because of injuries or Pope because of her mission. Without that there is going to be a lot of non-conference losses if the schedule is as tough as last year.

I only got to tune in for the last 3 minutes. Erica hit a free throw to tie it with about 25 seconds to go and they called her for a lane violation and waived the point off. They did not show a replay of it, but I have never seen a shooter called for a lane violation. Then the ensuing inbounds was pretty terrible and basically a jump ball that both went hard for and for some reason Ohio got called for the foul to send Kent to the line. They hit both and never let us get a game tying 3 attempt up and we go down.

Needless to say, I thought both those calls were complete garbage that flipped the game at the end. But the real story of the game is Kent his 16 damn three pointers on only 28 attempts. Pretty crappy way to start the conference schedule with such high hopes including at-large aspirations.

Does Boldon have Covid? I did not see him. And Deesh Beck did not play.

I thought the call on the inbounds was questionable but I wanted to see it again and they did not show it. To be fair to the officials, I think Erica did commit a lane violation. Their 5' 1" guard hit a huge three from way downtown and hit her free throws in the last minute. Giving away the lob for a bucket and an and-1 was a massive defensive lapse at end.

Tough loss. They shot the lights out from distance and barely beat us.Looking forward to the rematch in A-Town. We need more consistent backup support for Erica and Cece.

Anyone know why Beck didn't play? I was really hoping she would be stepping it up this year.

No idea what's up with Beck but Cece went for 26-7-4 and we got the W tonight. Nice contribution from freshman Madi Mace off the bench with 10 & 6, methinks she's gonna be a player.

I caught the second half. Cece was unstoppable. No Beck and no minutes for Hale makes for a short bench, but Mace and Guice had some good moments. The outro highlight package showed Boldon throw a clipboard through the floor during a timeout.

EDIT: I guess Hale did play, she's in the box score on our page, but she was absent from the ESPN box.

Think Mace & Guice may start cutting into Kroll's playing time. Every time I see them they look good.
