What district is that Ted? Is there a cost to watch the streamed games? A district in Licking County is live streaming their football games at $20 a game.

GCL. We just got an email that her second away match would allow 4 spectators. As for streaming price, I don't know. They are streaming the varsity football scrimmage for free.

$20 a game is absurd

I've seen crazier things happen.

A high school AD in Utah stopped a game to get fans to follow covid protocols. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/2020/08/22/utah-hig... /

This is what it's going to take to make sports work this fall.

Just got our streaming fees. Cost for a weekly pass is $20 and for a fall pass is $110. That includes all sports.

That's a great deal, especially when you know you are helping out your schools programs as their gate fees will be through the basement.

Any idea who's doing your streaming Ted and what the revenue split will be with the district on advertising dollars?

No idea about revenue split. TKDS Sports Network (http://www.tkdssports.com /).

Here in rural north central Ohio, most stadiums only are big enough to allow 2 tickets per player, cheerleader and band member for actual attendance at football. It's 4 for volleyball (a lot less people to share tickets). Streaming options vary. Some schools are doing simple Facebook Live streams for free. Some schools are having companies produce broadcoasts that cost $10 per game, of which $4 goes to the school.

Having spent most of my professional career in the scholastic products business, this a golden opportunity for interprising folks to make a mint. With attendance limited to the lesser of 15% or 1500 for football (although the OHSAA released an update today on guidance for social distancing on areas outside the fence), the revenue stream from advertising for live streams is huge.
