Last week, for some reason, wasn't the tipping point. I feel like our non-league play was the difference. I knew after we got blown out by Louisiana that we were going to not win the MAC East. And what is even more sad is that the other day I was thinking of our returnees next year and I counted 8 offensive and 7 defensive starters back with many backups returning as well. But I also thought: No Rourke. No Louie. No Farkas. No Hagan. Same Frank. Same Albin. Same curse. Very sad. I also think that with the energy provided by Boals I feel more energized by him and compare it to Frank. We are just plain stagnant now in football. You can't argue that...I dare you to tell me that we are not stagnant in football and have been for several years now.

I don't know, I might be somewhat bullish on next year's team. I love what Ohio has coming back as far as QBs go. I think as between Rourke, Jr. (I know that's not the younger brother's actual name, I just like using it) and Mischler, Ohio will be fine. I think losing the Joe's from last year's O-line and AJ were bigger losses than losing Rourke will be.

The losses on the OL (two Joes and Wood) were to key to our offensive ineffectiveness at critical times this year IMO. Not only in the running game, but in Rourke's lower productivity as well...how many more blind side hits did he take this year (including the huge one last week)? He was rarely running for his life last year as he has on multiple occasions this year. We all miss AJ (myself included), but our current backs could have a monster year behind the OL we graduated last year.

Skill-position wise, I think our offense has good times ahead. Losing Nathan will hurt, but if Kurtis performs the way he looks to the eye test, with our young backs (Allison and Wilbon), and young receivers, we can REALLY get our hopes up until future Novembers!

Ross is not a 4.3 guy anymore, he must be still hurt, Tuggle would have easily gotten that first down. Allison start forever, Ross next and then Tuggle. We are three plays away from being blown out on senior night. Come on coaches, come on Ohio

How do we get through an entire half without Rourke carrying the ball at all? Tell me how that happens? The guy is one of the top rushers in the entire league and he hasn't carried it ONCE!!!!!! How has Tuggle not played? How is Hagan still revered by announcers? Dude looks for the boom instead of the proper tackle and gets burned. Our playcalling is crap. Our athletes are outplayed. This sucks. I am going to stop watching and binge Billions now. Wake me when it's over!

Did you see that wide receiver screen, the d coordinator has no command over this defense. The dB was 12 yards off of him. The announcers are pretty boring as well. Wow no discipline to get set on 4th down, wow

Horrible routes for fourth down. Thank you seniors for your hard work, sorry that you won’t play for a championship.

Speed option Allison. Isn’t Tuggle our fastest back?

We weren’t going to stop them. Should’ve gone for it on fourth and five.

Should have gone for two with Tupa since his Dad scored the first two point conversion in the history of the NFL.

My goodness if that game wasn't apropos for the whole season; slow start, fought back, then blew it at the end. Meanwhile though Saturday's weather was just fine, we are "fortunate for ESPN's viewers" to watch us play in the frozen tundra on Tuesday night, before a crowd that at least on TV, looked as if it were the same numbers that would attend an Athens High JV game on Saturday morning. In September who would have thought that by November, basketball would hold out more promise than football?

Yeah, Rocky Boiman was pretty painful to listen to, especially as a Notre Dame fan. The lamest comment came on Rourke's 4th-down throw that went incomplete to Tupa in the back of the end zone. Boiman noticed how Rourke threw too high for Tupa but maybe that was a good thing or else it would have been intercepted. What...? WMU was getting the ball back, interception or not. Did it really matter?

Then, I think I heard him wonder if WMU would spike the ball with 2 seconds left in regulation at midfield. Did he really think out loud the possibility of WMU spiking the ball in that situation?

It's almost as painful as listening to Austin Carr, one of my all-time favorites and one of college basketball all-time greatest scorers at ND, do color commentary for the Cavs.
