Ohio has received a verbal commitment from Georgia Miltary JC tight end Tyler Knight. The 6-5, 265-pounder (4.65 forty) picked Ohio over offers from Memphis and Ole Miss. Knight is scheduled to graduate in March of 2011 with three years to play two. Knight originally committed to Auburn out of Leesburg (GA) High School as a sign-and-place. Which meant that Auburn would place him in a JUCO (Knight lacked enough core courses) and then he would play for them in 2011. Not sure what happened there but Auburn seems to no longer be in the picture.

Another great get. I don't recall having 5 verbals this early into the year. Am I mistaken or are we doing a great job picking these things up earlier this year than in the past?
