Four year football letter winner & Ohio alum Bob Barrow died in Columbus on January 12. He was an offensive lineman from 1975-78. Although our times in Athens overlapped a bit I didn’t meet Bob until we were both involved in youth football in the Dublin area. We didn’t hang out, but he was a good guy and always happy to talk about the Bobcats.

There’s an online tribute wall at www.diehl-whittaker.com . Calling hours are at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the chapel, 720 E. Long St. in Columbus.

Peace be upon your journey, Bobcat brother.

Since we are about the same age--this is too young.

Bob was the starting lineman on the Hess coached teams. I often saw Bob return to campus during the early Solich years and while I cannot recall for certain it seems like he may have had offspring that attended his alma mater.

RIP Bob.

His playing time was just before I returned to Athens in the fall of 1978, so I remember him by name only from reading stories about Bobcat games. Nonetheless, I'm sad to hear of his passing. RIP!
