The Solich Nutrition Center at Peden Stadium sits opposite of the Carin Strength and Conditioning center with 10,000 sqft. and the ability to sit over 100 student athletes for a dining meal. Facility also was built with a new visitors locker room, enhanced concession space provided and state of the art gender neutral bathrooms on the student side of the stadium. Named after legendary Ohio Bobcat coach Frank Solich who won over 100 games at Ohio the Solich Nutrition Center assists Ohio athletic teams to compete with high performance.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

Great plan. Sure hope Dr. Nellis and Julie can talk Frank into it. Frank has been good for the program - I like Frank - but it's time to retire.

Frank didn't lose either the WMU game or the Miami game .. players did. I hope he's back next year.

Even if he finishes out 7-6 with a bowl win which is still possible it would be extremely stubborn of him to stick around and try to rebuild this program once again. Why not unload the wallet and take Peden to the next level?

I would like for him to make some changes. He should be able to write his own ticket at this point, but he has to make some changes.

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

Hey Wes, I will bet you a hot fudge sundae that we do not end up seven and six with a bowl win.

If the chances are 50% or better that Ohio finishes 6-6 while another 50% chance that it pulls off a bowl win that is a legit possibility. Bet against it fine but the chances are realistic.

Players he and his staff recruited, and have for a few years touted as their most talented classes.

Change number one: hire an assistant that has a legitimate chance at being a D1 head coach. Unless someone thinks there's one here now? (I'm not aware of one)

Step two, make a plan of stepping away /succession now, so when he leaves the program isn't left trying to figure out what to do next. (note, this could exist now. I just don't know that it does)

Agree. Frank deserves to go out better than this, but we need to posture ourselves for the future better than we are now.

I love this, I think the DB coach needs to go as well.

Left Lane Hammer Down, maybe I am wrong about this but weren't you leading the campaign to keep Coach Phillips? I mean his record was worse than Coach Solich and frankly Coach Solich has a lot more to show for it. I am not disagreeing that it might be time for Coach Solich to enjoy some quiet time, after all he is in his 70s. I am just curious as to why you thought one needs to go and one needs to stay? I mean so far Coach Boals seems to be exceeding anyone's expectations, especially after we were picked to finish in the basement and last year we were picked to do well.
