Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

He doesn't show up on the Senior Bowl website but he apparently has accepted an invite to the NFLPA Bowl on January 20 at the Rose Bowl (his name is in all caps, which apparently means he accepted the invitation): https://gbnreport.com/2018-nflpa-collegiate-bowl-roster /

Anybody know what happened to Poling at the NFLPA Bowl? He was on the roster I saw but not on the participation report.

I saw the game, I did not see him on the field or the sidelines.

Let's hope he gets a last minute invite to the senior bowl. https://www.seniorbowl.com/accepted-invites.php

Poling’s grade has gone up significantly, he will probably get drafted. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/quentin-poling?id=32462018-...

That’s great! He was an incredible player and deserved a shot. Happy to see him get drafted.

I am so excited for Poling, I can’t wait to see him making plays for the next decade. I wish my browns would have taken him earlier. Here is the pick with the analysis. https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/picks?pick=9&round=7

Congrats to him. I think he will surprise, and that's based on how much he was missed in the games he couldn't play.

Thread drift warning, but I have to ask.....

With your consistent thoughts on "mediocrity", why on earth do you continue to root for the Browns? They're worse than mediocre.

Back to the thread, great for Quentin!

His hometown has got to be busting with pride. Gomer has a population of only 102. It's an unincorporated bump in the road on what used to be US 30 in Allen County. Small communities like that are really close-knit. And they take great pride in their kids' achievements, large and small. To have one of their own drafted into the NFL is huge.

I will never give up on the Browns or the Cats. I believe that we can do great things.

The belief in the Cats I can see. There have been shining moments over the last decade that give hope. The hope in the Browns organization baffles me -- not just by you, but just by fans in general. They've truly exhibited nothing in the last decade to offer evidence hope is warranted.

Regardless, I was having a little fun with that for a moment.
