Well, here we go again. The conference-by-conference rundown to fill the 78 bowl slots. The list below shows the number of slots for each conference in brackets, the teams that are already in, the teams that are almost there because they need one win, and the teams that have the best shot at making it because they're at .500 or above, and the teams that are out of the running with seven losses. Only 68 of the bowl slots are accounted for here because there are six at-large slots for the New Year's Six bowls and four slots in the playoff. Teams with asterisks play only 11 games, thanks to the various hurricanes.
