I think the big scrimmage is next Saturday. We'll have to send Doc in his glider if we want a report, I think.

Glider painted in camouflage and stealth shaped so Nelsonville radar won't pick me up.

I'm looking forward to the eyewitness reports. (or is that Skywitness report?)

Don't set you expectations too high. This program is in stealth mode. No good news , no bad news no news period.
Apparently the powers that be don't think you need to know anything. Just buy tickets and come to the games and don't ask questions.

Who is RB #22? Hardy didn't get an extra year, did he?

I thought both Maxwell and Rourke looked serviceable. I'd put Maxwell ahead slightly, though.

Going into summer, I think the biggest question marks are depth on both sides of the line. I think the 1s are gonna be OK. I'm not real sure about the 2s.

Per the Messenger he is a walk-on named David Burroughs. The article has quite a bit more on him and the RB situation.

Random Observations from the practice.
-No rosters so it was a guessing game.
-A ton of guys didn't practice. Notables Mangen, McCray, Cope, Smart, Mayne Williams was limited, no Dorian Brown. Curious where Tyler Tupa was. Didn't see him.
-Starting LB corps Poling, Moore and Popp, Croutch ran with the 2's.
-Not sure who 79 was but he was the starting right tackle.
-AJ looked good. Had a red no contact jersey in his pocket but never put it on.
-Irons injured his hand during the practice finished with Red jersey.
-Part of the QB individual included snaps from under center.
-Rourke struggled IMO, made a couple plays but in 7on7 made a couple ill-advised throws including a ball right to Dylan Conner.
-Ball and Odom are really smooth in routes and getting out of breaks. I was most impressed with their athleticism.
-Starting O line today 79, Wood, Pruehs, Anderson, Lowery
-Hagen and Kylan Nelson started at safety backed up with by Gullett and Cunningham
-Bradd Ellis can move. Started at corner opposite Jaylen Fox. Did a nice job in 1 on 1 vs Ball and Odom.
-Spent and insane amount at the sale which Mrs. Valley Cat will not be made aware of.

"Not sure who 79 was but he was the starting right tackle."

Pure speculation. We are told Davis #58 and Kuhar #88 have changed from the DL. Perhaps Kuhar's new number is 79.

From Solich's speech on facebook we know that the starting RT weighs 365, and has had injury issues. My guess is that McCray wanted Watson's number.

Again, from the Solich speech, Brad is definitely one starter, and three others are battling for the other spot. He didn't say whom, though. Maybe Christian, Fox, and Mayne Williams? I'm guessing that Ellis has his scholarship now, too, as Solich referred to him as having been a walkon, in the past tense. Sherman-Mustin seems to be gone from the roster, so that would have freed one up for him.

I hope so, I won't root against a Bobcat.

McCray didn't practice he was working on the side in his #74. Christian lined up only at safety from what I saw.

Were you able to recognize Mr Kuhar and if he is now wearing a new number befitting a member of the OL?

My guess is that #79 was Kuhar but I can't confirm or deny. You see our official website doesn't provide an actual roster. Most of the players I can tell who it is. I was unaware of theTupa move to receiver and assumed #20 in green wasn't him but apparently he moved to WR. He also didn't practice.

I meant to mention this as well. I saw Maxwell take snaps under center, but I don't remember the other QBs doing so (maybe I just missed it). It looked a little awkward, TBH. No mishandled snaps, but Maxwell is tall and Pruehs is...."squat" is the adjective I will use. Maxwell had to bend over pretty far to take the snap.

But the line did a pretty good job moving the pile from the formation (single back...I didn't see any 2-back sets), and Burroughs ran well.

You can see a good shot of #79 in the 4/6 practice report at the 2:30 mark:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnrejWVT2m8

He's a couple inches taller than Coach Johnson, and he does look like Kuhar to me. Here's Kuhar's bio pic.

Hagan sounds like he is preparing for a NFL campaign.

Mark it..Hagan will be a first day NFL draft pick someday. We are fortunate to have him here. He along with both booters are tremendous weapons. With Poling..Hagan and Aloese our defense has some great guys leading the 3 areas.
