What an awful practice! They already had Collier, a wide receiver and Trout leave so that means they had 91 scholarships filled at one time. Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. In that particular year it's not clear to me if it was intentional, or if it was a case of a couple kids qualifying who weren't expected to qualify.
