Saw on the Twitter-sphere that Minnesota is indeed going to buy "Row the Boat" from WMU. For $50,000.00

How much do you think we could get for "Beau up the middle"?

To me this is analogous to paying someone for a dirty diaper. you no longer had any use for it and were about to throw it away. If someone is dumb enough to pay you for it, good on ya, mate! Minnesota will be thrilled with their purchase.

Can we start a Browns QB-like t-shirt that is just a new name every year?

____ up the middle.

Better idea. Make the blank part velcro. That way we can just slap a new one up there and not ruin the shirt by adding to it.

I was thinking today, what could WMU use that $50K for? Unfortunately they'll probably just put it into the new coaches' pockets. Instead they should just throw a rager at Waldo Stadium. Full kegs, everybody's gonna be there. Alright, alright, alright.

On one hand, I think "Row the Boat" is worth more than 50k. However, if PJ had just kept using it without paying for the trademark was WMU really going to go to court over it?
Take the 50k (+10k per year Fleck will contribute toward scholarship at WMU) and reminiscence on the Sugar Bowl.

I've seen crazier things happen.

If you look at the graphics, banners and signage WMU displayed using Row The Boat, $50K might be short on the cost of replacing.

In one regard I understand how Fleck kind of created this phrase and ideology. I actually think it's pretty cool and while his energy was annoying to me at times, I was a bit jealous also to see a guy like that building something.

In another regard I am one to think that he created this brand at Western and it should stay at Western.

50k? That's it? Pure stupidity. I cant imagine how much merchandise Minnesota is going to sell with RTB on it.
