He's back with a vengeance. Only took a loss to unlock the keyboard. I'm afraid we're going to hear a lot more of him the rest of the season. That's too bad on so many fronts.

Why so? We lose two home games to a horrid Texas State team that we were a 3 touchdown favorite and then lose another home game to a downtrodden EMU when we were a 7.5 favorite. Yea that EMU that many on this board have trumpeted for EMU's removal from the MAC for being so pathetic.

I think Monroe's criticism of this staff has been justified in that his opinion is this program reached it's ceiling years ago and now at best is treading water. I find it hard to argue otherwise.

Thanks for the support.

66--I am certainly open to argument that football-wise things are not what I say they are.

Please base that argument on facts and logic, not hope.

And don't tell me that the players graduate and don't misbehave and Solich is a fine person and is a gentleman on the sideline (both of which are true) because those are baseline, minimal requirements and not what the football coach is paid a lot of money to achieve.

Or you can slam at me. Which doesn't seem to make the team and coaching situation better, does it?

Monroe, I am with you more than you can imagine. I would just go about it a different way.

Laying low when we win and posting 30 times in 2 Hours when we lost is out of control a bit,

Monroe, Does all the slamming you do in your posts on the board make the team and coaching situation better? We have heard it all from you repeatedly and it makes no difference! Why?

This is pretty true with many I think. There are plenty of critics out there, maybe even more so than apologists, they just aren't as dramatic with it. That isn't surprising given that this may be the tamest sports message board in existence.

Moderators--I was called an idiot. Oh, that hurts me so. Shouldn't that poster's post be deleted.

I kid; I can take it. Others, apparently not so much.

But no, Lande, the 'slamming' (which, of course, is just pointing out the long obvious truth) is just me not going to take it, not going to allow such poor coaching. Well, as best as I can I'm going to fight back against it at the OHIO UNIVERSITY that I love.

As for the others, I posted elsewhere that I stayed away while it looked like maybe things could be better. They are not. They are on the same downward trend.

And recruiting is gonna start taking a hit...if it hasn't already.

You other two who slam me--I'm complimented by the poor quality of your argument. All you have is your dislike for me.

Have a nice day.

ts1227--Thank you, in all seriousness, for pointing out how generally genteel the threads on bobattack are compared with other boards and sportstalk generally.

AWFULLY thin skin on the part of a lot of folks here.

It's not necessarily a bad thing either, it's just how it evolved. It makes sense though, since the board basically grew out of the GWC. Demographics skew a little older than most message boards too because of it.
