I give them props. Despite what's going on around them, Grobe has managed that ship effectively as an interim coach. Now whether he is there long-term is a whole other story, but for the job he was brought in to do he has done so excellently.

Agreed, but the toughest part of Baylor's schedule awaits.

They haven't played anyone yet. This is correct.

Grobe is 115-115 since taking over at Ohio and that is outstanding for coaching in Athens and at Wake Forest. He can go above .500 this weekend by beating an improving Kansas team. Seriously, I would like to see him back at OU if Frank decides to retire (and I hope he doesn't retire soon). Grobe is 61 and a native of Huntington (but don't hold that against him)

I have very high regard for both Grobe at Solich. Grobe is 61. Solich was 60 when he arrived at Ohio. I'm not sure Grobe could further strengthen recruiting. And if Solich is laid back, Grobe is more so. It might take a younger HC with a more electric persona to further ramp up recruiting.

I agree. Both men were the right men at the time Ohio hired them. Next hire would need to right for the time and situation.(next level versus rebuild)

I am happy for Jim Grobe and his players. I'm not sure how I feel about Baylor as an institution being successful on the field right now.

I hold Jim Grobe in very high regard, but I would not be in favor of such a move. I'd also bet there is zero percent chance of such a thing, certainly not under Jim Schaus

I know how I feel about it. Sadly, Grobe is now part of an ugly chapter in sports that's apparently not finished.

I will always be a fan of this man and would always welcome him back to Ohio. I don't think there is a classier head coach out there. I'm sure this is the very reason Baylor wanted him after the last coach brought W's but dragged the program through the mud.

I admit that I know nothing of the level of talent that Grobe inherited at Baylor.

That said, there is no comparison between Grobe and Solich. None.

Ouch. I just glanced at the Big 12, and I was surprised to see that Baylor appears to have done the exact opposite of Miami. They won the first 6, and have lost every game since then, the last four by a combined 101 points.
