I have been looking for info on the injuries on the running backs.

Ouellette, A.J. - out for season??
Brown, Dorian- ???
Irons, Maleek- ???
White, Papi - During game against GW I saw him get up limping and I haven't seen him in the game since?
and know Emanuele, Vinny- Concussion possibly??

I believe that if we don't get one of the top 3 back as a full time running back - we are in trouble during MAC play

Solich said after the game that Emanuele won't play next week. He's the only one he'd rule out aside from Ouellette. It sounds like Irons was maybe a day away from being able to play, so I'd say he's probable for next week. Solich said White and Brown would be questionable.

Was Irons dressed today? I think he might have been, even though he was never going to play.

Russ said Papi's knee injury seemed like a minor tweak.

We're going to need to keep Hardy in there at RB until it's a sure thing that Irons and Brown are ready to roll.

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

Yes, Irons dressed, and from what I saw, I think White has a good shot of playing next week also.

I think it was Russ in the pregame that said Irons and Brown could have been available today if it had been a conference game, and Arkley tweeted that White could have gone in the 2nd half if necessary. I think we'll be fine for Fiami.

I would be surprised if Emmanuel does not have a concussion. He was briefly knocked out (for about a second) after that hit on the goal line. The officials noticed it and made sure he left the game.

Vinny looked very wobbly coming off the field, unfortunately. I noticed Irons dressed on the sideline, but no sign of Brown. Anyone see him?

With all of the touches that Windham has in a game it is a blessing that he has not been injured. Tough runner and smart QB that has good awareness.

Andrew Meyer was a real load to bring down Saturday. He carried three or four G-W players about five yards. At 6', 180 he wouldn't make a bad RB in an emergency.

Brown was on the sideline, but was in shorts.

In his press conference, Solich intimated that Papi will probably not be available for Miami, and that they had tried some other players at RB this week. I hope Irons or Brown is available, but otherwise I guess Hardy will be the man.

So, should Papi now bear the dreaded tag of "injury prone?"
* 1st year: injured early in season opener and out for season
* 2nd year: injured again
* 3rd year: injured again

Put otherwise, is he an RB that can be depended on?

This time he was being used as the go to back, with as Monroe says -papi up the middle. He's not built to be that type of back, but it was necessitated by the other injuries.

I hope Frank is pulling a Belichick.

How do you win a game with your safety at RB for the whole game?

Throw the ball 50 times and hope the defensive line keeps Miami from being effective in the passing game?

Back up position players at RB gives me "fumble" fear.

Can't argue winning 9 of the last 10. Maybe he's got something up his sleeve.

Miami was +17 (give or take) at UC and now +3 up against us. That certainly must be the end result of our RB situation. Irons has to be ready?

Handled NIU last year with one RB. Like the guy said, "the ball isn't heavy."

This is how the staff recruits the position. Substitute Papi for Daz and we've had this same discussion for many years. 5'7" guys that weigh 175 lbs aren't going to last between the tackles. They'll either get hurt or fumble.....or both.

It's worth pointing out that while as a Freshman Daz was listed at 5'7" and 177 lbs, in his Senior year he was listed at 5'6" 190 lbs, which is a plenty stocky build for running inside. He was much more effective in his Senior year in both regards, both in terms of getting tough yards inside without getting hurt, and in terms of not fumbling. Nevertheless, a lot of fans continued to see him in the same mold as a Chris Garrett or a Papi White, but his physique was definitely much different.

Remember, Bo came to Ohio as a RB. He switched to safety this year because we needed the help there, much like AJ did last year when our LBs were banged up.

When I thought about players to sub at running back, I immediately thought of HS tailback and 2015 Bobcat linebacker, Bryan DiCillo.

But looking at the roster, he isn't listed. When did he depart?

It says that Hardy is the only one cleared to play. I hope he has a 150 game. He's certainly got the speed to made some yards.

The article was written Wednesday. I have a feeling Irons will be ready to go.
