With next year's schedule, 6 and 2 should be expected and 7 and 1 is a real possibility in the MAC. The only possible losses I see are Toledo, BG and Akron and because we play the last two at home, that probably won't happen. Don't know a thing about the returning players or the recruits but based on the 8 MAC teams that we will play, we have a very favorable schedule.

There are huge losses in the secondary next year. To offset Burrow could run zone coverage. Last year this team was 5-3 in the MAC so asking for 1 to 2 game improvement without Vick may be asking for a lot. Could Ohio be strong enough in the trenches to win the East I don't know.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

We are strengthening both the OL & DL based on the # of graduating and the # of incoming.
I also think we need to work on our pass rushing, blitzing.

They do lose a lot in the Secondary:
Corners - Bass, Layton, Wells, Brunson, Terpin
Safety - Carpenter, Jones, Macer

On the other hand they have some new faces coming in, with Hutchins as a fifth year Senior, Miller as a JUCO, and the Motley twins as Freshmen. They also have some players that redshirted last year, M. Williams and Hagan at Safety, and Howell at Corner, plus some people coming back who were injured, and who hopefully will be healthy next fall, Nelson and Quallen.

I think the pieces are there for another solid secondary, but we will have to wait and see.

Tell me about your confidence in the QBs that will get 6-7 MAC wins. I'm not saying you're wrong, or that I disagree with your thought. I just don't have a enough confidence in OUr QB play from the last two seasons that would point towards 2016 as a year that it will improve enough to go 6-2 or 7-1.

If that is so, then our coaches, roundly saluted as fine judges of talent (so able to see the quality of the qb talent on hand) and football minds, will take the abundant talent most believe that we have and find a way to use that talent to win despite the lack of an ace qb, overcoming the lack of ace qb talent.

Or not.
