Same deal as before. Lobby for your favorite pass catchers here. It takes a nomination plus a second to make it into the poll.

Nominees:
Scott Mayle (seconded)
Jordan Thompson (seconded)
Todd Snyder (seconded)
Riley Dunlop (seconded)
Lavon Brazill (seconded)
Taylor Price (seconded)
Donte Foster (seconded)
Andrew Mooney (seconded)
Terrance McCrae (seconded)
Cleveland Moutry

I'm nominating Scott Mayle. So so so fast.

I'll nominate Jordan Thompson. He was a player, and a leader.

So many to choose from in the past few years. Since it's not necessarily best but favorite, I'll nominate Riley Dunlop.

Regardless of the off the field problems in the NFL, Lavon Brazill made big time plays for OU. I'll nominate him.

Lavon is the greatest pass-catcher to ever suit up for the Bobcats. To suggest anything else is pure heresy.

Looking at the receiving record book, it really is amazing how, outside of Todd Snyder, we never really had a prolific WR until the Solich era, and we have had several since (of course, the additional games on the schedule now help with padding the stats a bit).

Compare the RB nominations to the WR/TE nominations (so far). With RBs, the majority of nominees were pre-Solich. With WRs and TEs, it's Snyder vs. the Solich era. The perception, at least, among fans appears to be that we are much more pass-happy now than in decades past.

Or Todd Snyder really was that good, and those of us too young to have witnessed it have no clue what we missed.

In a word -- yes. It helped that he had Cleve throwing to him. I am, of course, biased in that he´s a friend, but have we ever had another player named national Lineman of the Week? (Split ends were considered lineman back in the day.) He received that honor after the 35 to 35 tie with Minnesota. He caught three or four TD passes in that game, if memory serves, and many, many other passes. I joked with him after that game that I deserved some of credit, as I used to play QB in some sandlot games we participated in. I was a few years older, but an absolutely horrible passer that would make Kareem Wilson look like Andrew Luck. I told him after learning to catch my passes everything else must seem real easy.

A guy who hasn't even been mentioned and is #2 on the All-time receiving TD list...Terrance McCrae.

I second McCrae. He made some terrific leaping end zone catches.

How about Cleveland Moutry?

Great receiver for Rich Bevly.

Rich tells me that Cleveland is now in Akron.

Receiving corps is Brazill and Snyder out wide, with Thompson finding space underneath. MAC safeties don't know what to do (assuming Kareem can get the ball to them).
