I would probably vote for Tettleton if I hadn't experienced the late 60s. I'm probably a "youngster" that doesn't appreciate how hood Cleve was in his playing days, but I think his QB legacy (fairly or not) is tarnished by, #1, his coaching failure, and #2, by the "Ol' Freak Nasty" allegations. Sammy did dominate in the pre-Grobe years, but most voters are younger than that. I think that's a pattern we'll likely see repeated at other positions. But, the standard was "favorite Bobcat" and here it's open season as anyone can have any criteria that they want. I voted for Arthur Carr, who I never saw play because I liked his trailblazer status. He could have played QB in no other. Tettleton pre-senior year could have excelled in any offense that is why he got my vote.
