Chase did and is now gone. So, now who is "fast."

Papi White does, of course. The other player that I seem to recall being reported to be one of the fastest players on the team was Bo Hardy. They never publish official 40 times, though, as those might benefit opponents, and you can't trust the times reported during recruiting, so the only time you know for sure how fast a player really is is when they are gone, and get tested at Pro Day (or at the Combine).

How would knowing 40 times aid an opponent.

It probably wouldn't help them much as they probably have a pretty good idea of each player's speed from the film anyway, but I think it's an excuse for not releasing it. It isn't just Ohio; I'm not aware of any school releasing 40 times, though I remember that info being released back in the 60's and 70's.

They used to release injury reports, too, and these days they don't issue that information as freely, either. I know Bill Snyder at Kansas State never gave any information out on anything because it might help opponents.

Injury reports fall under HIPA regulations, and limit staffs from commenting on the health of a student athlete unless a student signs a waiver, which rarely happens.
