If I was his attorney, and I'm not, I think I would be optimistic that I could get the UAC dropped to disorderly conduct, given that it's a first-time offense and by all other accounts Poling is a model student athlete. Big pet peeve of mine if the instant assumption that anyone charged is guilty... Seems to be especially the case with student athletes at Ohio. I've seen crazier things happen. Innocent until proven guilty 100% for the assault....but for underage drinking, I think we all know what the answer there is. However, it's a stupid law to begin with and we have all done it. I would say he shouldn't get any suspension and the University shouldn't even worry about stupid "crimes" like this.
