Maybe this the approach The Pigskin took when making their Athens Bar into an Ohio State campus bar yesterday?

That's rather unfortunate.

Which is a fine approach, and their choice. For me, it helps my choices for a Bobcat game day pre/post game meal easier when I visit Athens. I'll choose a location that chooses the local school whose students and employees generate most of their business to be most important.

For all the haters/whiners boo-hooing that State didn't take a knee at the end?

Without the 4 turnovers, OSU wins 70-20, not 42-20. Pointing that out is like Kryptonite to SEC fans. It's like when Dorothy doused the witch and she melted.

Hmmm...and what might the score - and outcome - have been had not Oregon receivers not dropped those two third down passes in the first half? How might have things panned out had Oregon gone up 21-7?

+1

And, not taking a knee in that situation was bush league. The game was over.

Normally I'd agree however Oregon called time out at the beginning of the drive stating hey we still want to compete and try to win. If Oregon didn't call that timeout, I'd agree that Ohio State was running up the score.

Box Score wrote:

1st and 10 at ORE 14 Cardale Jones run for 2 yds to the Oregn 12 20 35
Timeout OREGON, clock 02:35
2nd and 8 at ORE 12 Ezekiel Elliott run for 5 yds to the Oregn 7
3rd and 3 at ORE 7 Ezekiel Elliott run for 2 yds to the Oregn 5
4th and 1 at ORE 5 OREGON Penalty, Defensive Offside (Sam Kamp) to the Oregn 2 for a 1ST down
1st and Goal at ORE 2 Ezekiel Elliott run for 1 yd to the Oregn 1
2nd and Goal at ORE 1 Ezekiel Elliott 1 Yd Run (Sean Nuernberger Kick) 20 42

OSU DRIVE TOTALS: 5 plays, 14 yards, 2:17

The game was over on the turnover on downs. Oregon didn't see it that way. I am a believer the defeated needs to concede first.

+1 on that, Oregon calling the T.O., meant they would get the ball back if OSU took knees. If Oregon does not call timeout, maybe a different story.

When OSU scored that last TD, UofO was out of time outs. That's when OSU should have taken a knee.

I couldn't care less whether they took a knee, but your argument has a large hole in it. While you are correct that after the timeout Oregon would have gotten the ball back if OSU had taken knees at the 12, the situation became very different once Ohio State got the first down. When they scored, there was 0:28 on the clock, and it was second down. Had they taken knees after they got the first down, there is no way Oregon would have gotten the ball back.

If Oregon would have not called the timeout, that :28 seconds would have expired and game over.

The fact is they were trying to score when they could have easily run out the clock without scoring after that last first down. I've seen more blatant expositions of bad sportsmanship, but this wasn't exactly something you want on the highlight reel. [Ok, time to deflect people's attention and make a shuttle bus joke.]

I would say that since Oregon called the timeout, it forced OSU to make a first down to run out the clock. Once they got the first down, the timeout no longer mattered. At that point they had the option to either run out the clock, or try to score. They opted for the latter.

I do agree that the timeout at that point by Oregon was stupid and pointless.

At that point I had rejoined my wife who was watching something recorded from the food network test kitchen. A question I would ask is, who was on the field to score the last TD? If O$U still had the starters on the field, then, take a knee. If it was all O$U reserves vs Oregon starters then let them have real snaps to remember. JMHO.
