Based on the fact that we have beaten each team with a loosing record this year this game will be no different.

How do we do against teams with a tightening record?

Its at home for OHIO. Buffalo has lost 3 straight MAC games and their coach. Vick and AJ will be playing. It better be a victory to have any chance at sneaking into a bowl game. Technically not out of the MAC East race either but BG has to drop 2 games (which they might do). Ugly MAC East race this year is keeping us in it.

Over/under on how many fans tweet to Jeremy Guy making sure Tom McCabe is not the referee?

Maybe we should want him to do the game. After all he owes us a "make up call" big time! ;-)

Hard to believe about a year has gone by since that colossal blunder. I have watched thousands of hours of football on many levels and that has to be one of the top handful of miscalls, if not the worst, I have ever seen. The "roughing the snapper" call against Akron in 2000 is up there too. The next time I see/hear of one of those it will be only the second time.

This is a gut check game for our boys in green. Unlike some of the setbacks we have had this season so far, Buffalo is a team we are pretty evenly matched with. The talent level should be about equal so it is going to come down to passion, execution, and FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS. They can't beat themselves with penalties and turnovers in this one. The Bulls seem to still be playing hard despite the roller coaster/soap opera season they are enduring. I am A-OK with pouncing on them early and squeezing the life out of them by the 3rd quarter. That being said I expect to see a game that is not decided until late in the 4th Quarter.

We may have already played in 9 games, but the MACtion season is just now upon us! Let's go 3-0 in MACtion!

Buffalo is falling completely apart and has lost three straight. We're also playing them at home.

During these next three games I'd like us use every play in the playbook. Not this year's playbook (I think we've seen them all) but the 2011 playbook. Even if some of them don't work, the offense needs more variety.

Buffalo has the 3rd rated QB in the MAC and the 4th rated running back in yards per carry and yardage per game.

Based on the above metrics I will go out on a limb and say they probably have a decent OL too.

Teams like this have been scoring in the mid 30 PPG against our defense. Therefore I think we will need to score 35 points plus to win this game.

Needed will be: Vick starting, Vick 80+ rushing, Daz 150+ all-purpose, Cochran, Cope, Reid, S. Smith or L. Smith 100 yds receiving, +2 on turnovers. All this presumes getting healthier at safety and on the OL.

Buffalo is faring much better than us when considering shared opponents. They lost to BG by 1, whereas our game with them was a blow-out. Ditto with Central Michigan.

I seriously doubt this team puts up 35 the rest of the season.

If I was Steve Hays, I would stop complaining about Ohio playing FBS football and just walk around with a cardboard cutout of the "safety" from our last game with Buffalo.

I've seen crazier things happen.

Any word if T. McCabe will be reffing? I think that was the worst call last year that I've every seen in any level of football.

I'm wondering if ESPN is going to revisit the call during the broadcast. That would be hilarious.

I know ESPN, Fox Sports etc. all do various kinds of blooper/"fails" shows as it relates to sports. Did that gaffe ever make it on to one any fellow BAs saw?

Reading some Buffalo info I find Taylor of the Beefs was averaging 180+ rushing per game in the four games prior to CMU then CMU held him to 25 ttl, Buffalo to 38 ttl. What the heck?

What's the word on the Bulls OL. Last season's edition pushed the OHIO DL back into the linebackers. Any of the same members still around and healthy?

Their gamenotes don't help. Their depth chart shows a very big experienced OL.

I had hoped that McCabe's crew worked today, which would reduce the chances they'll do ours. No such luck.
