Don't count on him being back this year. I was sitting right above where they brought him and both he and the trainer looked close to tears.

We are snakebit again. This program can't seem to avoid a rash of injuries. And this one is going to really limit this offense. Ugh, ugh, ugh...

Rob said it's a knee, so he may be out for a while. Too bad. I like the way he runs the team. Sprague is nearly as good, so we don't lose much. But Vick has paid his dues at Ohio, spending two years as backup, and it would be nice to see him back on the field. I wish him well.

If this is what it takes to settle on ONE QB, then I have to say that while it is a shame for DV, so be it.

And for the record, I hate tOSU, and Ricordati and Torgerson are DB's.

I want to see more of Windham, now.

Hopefully, we'll see more of him next week vs EIU. They put up 63 on AP today but were outscored 114-56 in their first three games (Minn, Ill St & SIU).

I am sure every athlete that ever put on a uniform for the Bobcats appreciates this comment.

It's clearly not an indictment on DV, but a statement on the lack of commitment by the coaches. I feel sorry for Derrius.

I was just kidding. Well, I do want to see Windham, but only because the Bobcats are well ahead.

Did anyone see exactly how he got injured. I believe it was on the direct snap play in which he was no more than a decoy. My eyes were on #45, and i really didn't see how Vick got injured.

Well said man, Vick absolutely seems like a well spoken and determined kid. Also a good bit of talent there. I hope we get better news than we are expecting...

I believe it was the play right before that, when Idaho was flagged for an illegal hit below the knees on the QB. The defender's helmet hit Derrius below the knee, trapping it in position as he fell...it looked nasty.

Late hit on a pass play (defender flagged for a hit below the belt or some such). On the same play, we were called for offensive pass interference.

Vick's leg definitely got buckled in an unnatural way.

Too bad; love his heart.

it looked ugly on the replay. It was one of those where his knee bent sideways as 2 guys were falling on him and bending his upper body back in a different direction.

side note- on that same play Mangen was called for Offensive pass interference and he never touched anyone. No idea what the ref standing two feet in front of him was looking at.

Then he stayed in for a play after he was injured? I sure thought it was Vick who faked the change of call audible when the direct snap occurred. Was it Sprague?

I'm sure it didn't seem that serious when he was out on the field, so he stayed in. But he was hobbling as he moved along the line during the direct snap and again as he came off the field.

I only need to see your first comment! You are a great ambassador of the University! Happy a kid gets hurt because now the coaches will now have one QB. Your words not mine!
