Any news on this kid? Is he okay? Looked good playing slot and running . Would suck if he is seriously hurt but let's get him healthy so he has a great four years here.

Hopefully he's fine and it's nothing serious, but if it's a knee, or something, he will get his redshirt back.

He was on crutches on the sidelines, but that could mean a lot of different things.

I watched the replay of the play Papi was injured and it was hard to tell how much the knee was bent.

According to Arkley, it appears Ben Russell is out for the year.

We are foolish if we don't redshirt him.  Frank is not a fool.  Therefore...

That was my first thought too! However, five weeks is really the start of the remainder of the MAC schedule. If Papi can help us get a MAC Championship...like you said, Frank is not a fool.

How soon does a redshirt have to be established in his situation?

I believe he has burned his redshirt by playing, but could ask for a medical redshirt if doesn't play the rest of the year. I don't know if a medical redshirt would be granted if he was able to practice with the team the last half of the season.

I know if he played in one game, and had a season ending injury, getting the medical redshirt would be automatic. In this case he has played in 1 game, and he has a non-season ending injury.  I have no idea if that would even qualify for a medical redshirt.

Who defines "season ending?"

After missing so much practice and playing time, chemistry with QB and rest of team (as a freshman) is difficult.  I predict he complains of soreness in his knee, sits the rest of season and gets handed the medical redshirt.

Depending on who defines "season ending"

Could this put Robbie Walker in the mix to give us a playmaker?

Man, what a bummer.  Looked like a legit true freshman impact player.  Seems like a big, big loss.

Per Arkley tweet - Solich said it's "likely" Walker plays today.
