This season's media guide is available now: http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/ohio/sports/m-footbl/...

There is a depth chart, though it's pretty preliminary and I'm sure could change a lot as camp opens.

That depth chart has a few errors as far as listing the players's eligibily:
Chase Cochran - R-Sr, not R-Jr
Mike Lucas (Center) is a R-Jr, not a R-So, though he is listed correctly at LG
Daz Patterson - Jr, not R-Fr
Jovon Johnson - R-Jr, not R-So

That's quite a few errors. I didn't look at it that closely other than to notice that there aren't any new guys on there, neither freshmen nor transfers, so I figure it's probably not very accurate as to how things will look at the start of the season.

I'm not going to complain about a few errors. This is the first time I ever remember seeing a pre-camp depth chart, so I'll take it. We know there will be a lot of changes, one of which could be the additions of Bradley and Wilson to the receivers, and perhaps Boland at TE.

With fall camp coming up, I wonder if they will release which players will be at camp, and which will be added back after the first game? The roster in the media guide is 118 players, I think, and I believe only 105 can attend fall camp.

{SIGH}  This news always make me miss my glossy, soft bound print version, wherein I could thumb from page to page and flip back and forth, ....{BIGGER SIGH}

Quite a few errors?  You don't even have to go past page 2 to find one.  Varity instead of variety.  Ouch!

One of the advantages to it being in PDF form is that they can proof-read it after the initial release, and continue to make corrections. With the old printed version, once it was printed, it was too late.

And because of that, things were read much more carefully.  Can I get an AMEN, OCF?

um, the Frank Morgan era would suggest otherwise, Alan.

I wasn't necessarily referring to OU but proofing in general - kind of like the Beacon Journal of the 60's and 70's.

There was proof reading in the Frank Morgan era?

I remember when Dave Jamerson played for the Astros and they spelled the Women's basketball coaches name wrong.

I would say that in general that's true, Alan.  However, if we are talking about the Ohio Media guide it always contained numerous errors.  I remember that I used to send in information on errors, which they always promised to fix "next year."  Sometimes they did and sometimes they didn't.  One error of omission involved the leaving out of Vince Costello as one of OHIO's graduates who played in the NFL.  As I recall it took more than one year before that was finally corrected.  Other errors were those of commission, particularly in the list of previous OHIO games by season.
