He's a 6'5 wing from Detroit. Here is his verbal commits page: www.verbalcommits.com/players/michael-laster

From that video this kid looks good. Has a nice high release and looks like he's always around for rebounds. And he's a 6'5" wing? Looks like he can shoot in traffic and move with the ball. Only thing I didn't see in that video was if he has a three point shot, but that's something practice could bring. Looks like a good pickup by Saul

Nice. Seemed like most of his scoring came from inside the perimeter from that video but also showed nice form from deep.

Position of need for sure. We will still probably go for 1-2 more wings even with Laster and Crute on-board.

Worth noting Cass Tech is a very strong athletic program in Detroit.

Some shades of Sonny Troutman to me...excellent slasher, but has some range too.

Saw one of his teammates is going to Buffalo. He is a little skinny, but looks like he could build some muscle in college.

I usually don't go much on these HS highlight reels, but it's obvious this young man has a very nice shot.  Very soft touch from all over.  It's nice to have guys on your team who can shoot like that.

No defensive highlights shown, but hopefully he's strong on that end of the floor too.

Excited about this committment.

Buffalo took one from us, we took one from Buffalo.

Would raise the same question i did earlier...is this a new Saul guy, a JC guy or a guy Saul was previously after...just curious?

Here is an interview with him about his commitment. He really loves our school, his new school.

Pretty impressive if he does go into engineering.

Have to love 6-4 guards who come out of the gate saying all the right things. On paper...good start for Saul Ball.

Odd that neither he nor the reporter mention Saul in the article.

Looks like a fine recruit.  Also a good student.  A true student athlete.  Keep 'em coming SP!

For this guy level of competition is important. Cass Tech plays the best in Detroit. He will play next year.

I see that as well. Could be a solid contributor.

I like that high, high release on the jump shot.  Makes it's tougher to block that way. He keeps the elbow tucked in and the right arm straight up off the head. His mid-range game is his bread and butter just from looking at that video. Hopefully he'll be able to lock down defensively too.

So why hasn't there been an official release in all these guys signing? Did I miss something?
