He really needed a freshman redshirt to try and get 100%. I don't know what the dynamic was with Izzo when he left, but I know that Izzo publicly speculated that something was wrong with Javon, that he didn't have the lift any more or maybe that he didn't trust the foot yet. He probably has something left to offer at the MAC-level and he might even be a candidate for a major career resurrection.
