Think about what the Cats are dealing with this year: Within 30 minutes at the Dayton match, two co-captains go down: Jaime Kosiorek, potential POY in MAC is now being redshirted due to ACL. 6’4” MB Katie Nelson remains out, still dealing with concussion issues. another starter, Carly Remmers, still out with ankle sprain. And before all this happened: Last year’s starting libero, Jr. Erika Walker, left school. Potential starter OH Simone Miller had surgery, forced to take a redshirt year. Incoming frosh and Prep Volleyball preseason All America Watch List, Dahlias Bouyer, also forced to take redshirt year. But the Cats are clawing and making the best of an incredible set of back luck and circumstances. They scrapped out the win last night against Marshall. Remmers performance against Oklahoma after getting hurt was pretty amazing, to me. It would be great to get her back soon.
