Cats win another MAC match vs an inferior (young) opponent. Always nice to get two "W"'s on the road though. 8-0 with W. Mich and N. Illinois up next. Pack the Convo next weekend in Athens. Go Cats!

Agreed. The department and the university need to promote the heck out of these two matches. Prior to OU becoming the dominant team in the MAC, Western owned this conference. I'd love to see us spend a little cash in the Post, ANews and Messenger promoting this in addition to FB, twitter and instagram feeds. If we can't put 5000 in the Convo Friday night, that's embarrassing.

I am very impressed with how the coaching staff and team have come together this year. I was a bit concerned about a new coach and the loss of a budding star in Katie Horton, but Coach Webb and company have seemed to keep the machine running at top efficiency...and now we have Jaime K. as a star-in-the-making.

As is the case with most top programs, Ohio does not rebuild, it just reloads...

I believe the record crowd for a VB game is something like 3,200. So yeah...that's not very realistic.

It's closer to 4000. Not sure why you'd say that's not realistic. Of course if it's not promoted, it's not realistic. Time to put some money behind the most successful sustained program in OU history.

They just missed 4000 against A&M this year. The Invitationals draw well each year and I recall some huge crowds when they've piggybacked with football games.

Ohio has ranked in the top 30 eight straight years. Last year they were 23rd, averaging over 1700.

If they can draw 4000, under the right conditions and with the right promotions, as mentioned above, they can draw 5k.

I'm not saying it isn't possible at some point. But for 2 games on Halloween weekend without (that I know of) some huge student promo with food, giveaways, etc...it's not remotely realistic.

The reality of the world is that a school like OUrs with very limited resources doesn't have tons of $$$ to drop on volleyball. We throw everything and the kitchen sink at football/men's basketball to get the crowds that we do there. Right or wrong, it only leaves so much meat on the bone for volleyball, baseball, etc.
