Anyone know how the match at Louisville went, and in particular, is Chelsea Bilger playing, and if so, how she looks.

Also, an alumni match this Sat. at 3 and a home dh (10:30 & 2: 30) on April 5th.

Go OHIO

The girls got beat in 5.  It sounded like they were a little rusty.

I don't believe Bilger is playing just yet.

I attended the alumni match last weekend and, yes, she's not playing yet.  She is working out but not game ready. Also that she plans to take the redshirt year and play two more. Very good news about our former MAC All Conference player.

Also learned:

Our former monster 6'3 middle blockers Lexie Hartnett and Katie Post are still playing professionally in Europe;

That another 6'3" player, Liis Kullerkann will be going to grad school at Duquesne and will use her remaining year of eligibility there.  Liis will also be playing with the Estonian national team this summer.

That Aubree Hord, a transfer from DePaul, is already playing with the team.

I saw these alum in this fun match: Dr. Stephanie Blackburn, Meryl Bender, Meghan Simone (back from European play),  Michelle Janscht (came from K.C,),  Faith Robbins (came from No. Car.), Whitney Maiden, Mckensie Mauck, and Sarah Petrulis. Sorry if I missed anyone.

I thought Lexie was an au pair in Paris. I guess I'm out of the loop.

No, you're correct. I now recall talking to her grandad last fall who said she was an au pair and traveling that weekend to Belgium or Holland, to watch Katie play.

Katie Post recently dislocated her ankle in a match for her European team. Not sure if surgery is needed or not, but she's on crutches and in a pretty gigantic cast. Definitely wish her the best in her recovery and hope it is timely!

Interesting to hear the comments about Lexie again. Wish she had been able to play in Europe, but the bad back eliminated any hopes of that. Stub is correct in his last comment concerning being an au pair and going to see Katie in Holland. She did try to work out with a local team in Paris for a while, but could not maintain that level of play.

Also excited to report that she has been accepted in Grad school at Emerson University in Boston for this fall. Will continue with her interest in International Marketing & Communications.

Nice! I ran into her once at a Peace Corps meeting. Is that something she's still interested in?

OU would have won if they played all 1st string players the whole time, but Spring season is to let all players play to see potentials.
