The author of the letter linked below is a friend of mine, and his ethics are beyond reproach, so the situation at the GLC is very disappointing to me. Anyone have more insights or opinions?

I have no additional insights, but you have to believe there is something else here that hasn't been reported. Perhaps something far worse than improperly collecting cash from students.

Alan, as others have said, there must be more to this story. I have a contact who can probably supply me with the inside scoop, but it'll probably be on a confidential basis, so I probably won't be able to tell anyone what I find out.

No doubt about it OCF. Since I see a member of the bot is on right now, maybe he can shed some insight as to what happened.

Yeah, I posted the letter out of genuine concern and curiosity. The lack of clarity is proving costly, so I don't know why the school wouldn't explain it better. The author of the letter I posted knows and loves Ohio as much as anyone I know, and I don't see him rescinding a donation if there was a good reason no to renew the contract. If there's more to it, one would presume they'd tell someone who's taking back hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations. From what they've said, Emery committed a clerical error and did nothing unethical. If dumping him is just petty politics, it's a really bad decision. I'm hoping it's something more because it looks terrible as is.
