I believe it's going to consist of a large rectangle with groups of smaller rectangles, circles, and semi-circles.

Rumor has it there will be green.

I hope they get rid of that big map of Ohio, it looks like the set of Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego. Something clean, like the OHIO logo on the football helmets would look good. can someone post pics when its done?

I'd like to see a giant attack cat head at center court facing the ozone. Do away with the state of ohio emblem and make Ohio and the attack cat a little bigger.

The state of Ohio is supposed to be gone with the arch "Ohio" and Attack Cat enlarged. They are working on the outer perimeter green now. It will face the student section as normal.

Aww I liked the Ohio map. You could tell what part of the state you were shooting from during the Hungry Howie's pizza for a year shootout. I made a shot from Steubenville once.

A simple enlarged arch Ohio would have looked gangsta as hell.

The state outline was especially handy when Bubba Walther was launching missiles from way deep. I visualized the entire midwest and picked out a town, Great Lake or landmark of some sort. Example: Wow, Bubba launched that one from Ft. Wayne.......

I, too, think that the state outline was fine. But, if you are looking to build brand awareness regionally/nationally, the Attack Cat and Ohio make sense.

Saw a picture of the New Convo Floor on Tommy Freeman's twitter, They did away with the state of Ohio emblem and made Ohio and the Attack Cat a lot bigger. I really liked it , but people that wanted the State emblem probably won't. But it looks really good.

whoa, what an improvement. that's going to look great on ESPN. From a branding standpoint its much more consistant and effective than the Ohio map and I think asthetically its a 1000 times better too. might just be the camera but it looks like the green is a little darker also.

I think it's too big, IMO. Needs to be 20% smaller. It's too large to see and comprehend in a few-second sweep of a TV camera. Bigger is not always better.

The ratio of logo to playing surface should be similar to that used at Peden.

That thing is massive. Guys will literally be taking shots from the O's. Maybe we can coin the phrase "O-shot" to define a LONG 3 by a Bobcat.

I liked the Convo floor before we adopted the awful "paw" logo, which was before the 1978-79 season. This was before any volleyball lines were put on the floor, as well. It had a very small bobcat at center court and O H I O spaced out under the basket.

bad move - bring the State outline back. The only thing that needed done to the floor was a fresh coat, as the green was fading badly.

On top of that, the football field is screaming for some fresh color. Looking badly worn and faded as of last year. Is it almost time to replace the field turf? What's the lifespan of the modern plastic rug?

If we are looking at it from a marketing standpoint, it comes across as needy. Why not put an etching of the logo on the backboards? The camera looks there too. I understand the point that we want to be a nationally recognized brand, but we are Ohio, we should own that and represent.
