If a player enters the transfer portal he should just leave quickly with no hard feelings. I want kids who want to be here not those who think they may want to be somewhere else.

Whoa there big fella. STUDENT-Athletes have to finish the semester. If you boot them and they are not in good standing it works against the athlete and OUr APR. You meant to say "I want what is best for the STUDENT" and remember the athletes are here to participate in higher education I am sure.

Kirk can go. He’s been a turnover machine.

I to believe that Kirk will not be as much of a loss as Carter.

The Bobcats were at the bottom of the MAC this year; therefore, it is all upwards from here regardless of who stays and who goes. I wish Mr. Kirk the absolute best of luck, but there are no givens regardless of which direction one chooses to go. One of the big requirements for the team going forward is absolute commitment to this program over the next year. At the end of next year, you can then reevaluate the next year going forward. Even the top programs don't have the luxury anymore of red shirt freshmen and undetermined projects going forward in this one and done era, especially now that transferring has become a whole lot easier. There is absolutely no room for even people sitting on the fence either. It has become an overused phrase, but thinking outside of the box has become the new reality in college basketball, my friends, due to changing circumstances nation wide.

There are a lot of hard feelings on here about kids who came to play for a certain coach and then the university makes a business decision to go a different direction and the kids do to.

If coaches and institutions have be ability to make different decisions based on changed circumstances, I don't see any reason that a 18-21 year old kid can't do the same without the judgement.

Good luck to Teyvion. Hopefully he lands on his feet in a program and a position that fits his skill set.

Any news on Kirk? I have to think with his poor outside shooting stats and his historically bad assist/turnover stats, he is having a hard time finding a D1 landing spot. It may be a little unfair because in the right role his skills could play in D1, but having those numbers attached to him can't be doing him any favors.

Actually, I hope he finds a place that can improve his skills. He seems to be a good guy and has talent. But he just wasn't showing improvement on his poor FT shooting and turnover numbers.

He could use a year off to work on his stroke. But, like I said in another thread a while back, how much could you really expect form to change at this point in a player's career? He's probably been shooting this way since he was 10.

According to Nebraska fan-site Big Red Today (Omaha.com), TK is high on the Cornhusker's wish list and additionally has had contact with UNLV, Ole Miss, Temple, Butler, and others. Link is below:

Have to admit that, if correct, I was way off on what I assumed the level of interest would be. Impressed by the quality and quantity of potential opportunities

Don't see how he's ready for any of the programs listed here. I hope TK's next coaching staff can fix his shooting motion and improve his release point over the next year. There was zero development in this area over his first two years in Athens. Good luck TK and improve that Assist/TO ratio.

Teams can have one guard who can't shoot and still be successful. Ohio had a whole team full of them. In the right role, Kirk can be a contributor on a good team.

I agree. I'm shocked at the level of schools listed in this report. Whoever gets him might want to consider redshirting him just to work on his shot.

He'll have to take a redshirt as a transfer, no?

I am not shocked. TK showed as a freshman that he could play restrained yet aggressive. The fact that he was so helter skelter as a soph shows me that Saul lost control of his program from the jump in 2018. Block regressed..Doug did not improve...Carter looked scared...all adds up to Saul. TK will excel with the right program.

Bad look for the “Saul didn’t recruit talented players” fake news crowd

I've seen crazier things happen.

C'mon Optimist. It's one thing to be optimistic, another to be realistic.

One or two, maybe three, talented players (if you're counting TK as one of those) is not enough to sustain a successful program.

Kirk is not the kind of player who can carry a team on his back, but has the potential of creating some advantageous mismatches if surrounded by more athletic players. I am not surprised about the interest from the teams above, because his highlight reel must look pretty good. I don't see Kirk as a starter, but a good sixth and seventh man off of the bench.

The arm chair recruiting "experts" in this forum probably don't agree. But they're probably unwilling to agree with you.

More than anything, Kirk was never used in Athens in a way that played to his strengths, as several have said for the last few months. I agree that he's got a nice skill set if he was allowed to use his best attributes more often, and not made to be the primary ball handler. I'll be interested to see what he's able to do with his remaining scholarship years. There's a lot of talent there. It's a matter of playing to his strengths with his time on the court.

Thank you.. pointing the the possibility that Kirk may get a D1 deal as some sort of justification of weak recruiting is crazy talk. Kirk is absolutely going to draw interest D1 wise- he's an athlete who started for 2 years. There's 900 players in the portal which means there's openings everywhere. D1 teams are looking to fill holes. Will be interesting to see not only where he goes but what his role and playing time are once he's there.

Best of luck to him! In the meantime, can't wait for this season to get going!
