Have you watched Preston handle the ball? He gets caught in the air too much and when he gets the ball at the top of the key he picks his dribble up or he dribbles away from the 3-point line to set up the offense. None of OUr guys dribble with their heads up. That's what drives me crazy about a guy like Torey James sitting on the bench. Early on when he played he didn't do horribly. Murrell hasn't done horribly. Yet you stick with TK for 39 minutes and can't find 5 minutes for James and Murrell. And on the other side, why isn't McMurray playing more? Block gives us 1 assist, zero points and zero rebounds on occasion....not acceptable. Time to get the youth movement going. To me, the only guys who have played consistently and contributed SOMETHING every night are Carter, BVP, DT and Preston.

Is Murrell the one who was a bench player at a Community College and averaged 6ppg there? Minnesota-Mankato listed him as a team member at one time but had no stats on him, possibly never played there?

Is Torey James the one that had mostly D-2 offers? Catawba, Lenoir-Rhyne, Lincoln Memorial, etc. - ??

Not sure if you've watched, but Murrell is probably deserving of more minutes. At least in the offensive end, he's probably better than Cowart, and maybe at this point maybe Block.

While BillyBoy is trying to paint me the Bobcat Villain, I'm gonna end this non-sense and share a little story with you all.

Over the years I have been like a guide to our Ohio Basketball & Football players, They are stuck here during summer for workouts, in their free time or days off, not much to do around campus, I hook them up with place's to go fishing, some come to my shooting range with their own guns, clay pigeons to shoot, which I could tell a funny story about DJ Cooper & Walt Offutt. Some players are even hunters and hunted on their days off. I have made many many friend with our Ohio Bobcat student athletes over the years and if I'm a basher then why do they keep coming back ? Because BillyBoy is making all this shit up about me bashing Ohio Bobcat players, Have a great day BillyBoy !!! MIC DROP !!!

Yes, I watched some of that game on CBS-sn the other day. I also knew when he hit that ONE 3 pointer, somebody on here would compare him to Larry Bird or Dirk Nowitzki. And while he did impressively shoot that one from just the Toledo side of Cedar Point, he was 1-4 in that game from three and puts him now at 3-15 on the year from three. {20%}

Could be worse. McMurray is 1 of 9 and James is 1 for 11.

I hear a lot of

blah blah blah - I'm a better fan than you
blah blah blah - My job is better than your job
blah blah blah - I support the University better than you
blah blah blah - The players KNOW ME!!

Which all boils down to

blah blah blah - I'm a better person than you

Cool cool cool...good stuff. Good basketball discussion. Lots of rational arguments. Lots of honest debate. Cool cool cool.

Murrell redshirted at Minnesota St Mankato and grew from 6'0" to 6'5" at some point after high school. Played PG/SG in high school and had to adjust to new positions and body. If I were a betting man, I think that was probably his rationale for moving over to IHCC. He did get quite good minutes over there and then, in classic Saul recruit fashion, got injured.

In no way, shape, or form am I comparing him to Larry Legend or anyone remotely that good. I'm just saying when he was on the floor, he made some shots and attacked the rim better than Cowart did in that game. I'm just saying that he probably deserves a few more minutes, and is probably a better offensive player than a few others on this team. Given that scoring is currently the largest problem, maybe he deserves more PT?

Well several weeks have past and it is hard to imagine but things have actually got even worse.

Wilberforce - 2 A, 4 TO
Campbell - 5 A, 2 TO
S Florida - 0 A, 8 TO
Loyola M - 3 A, 6 TO
Austin P - 4 A, 4 TO
Iona - 5 A, 3 TO
Marshall - 5 A, 7 TO
Xavier - 4 A, 6 TO
Radford - 3 A, 7 TO
Detroit - 3 A, 8 TO
Purdue - 0 A, 3 TO
FIU - 2 A, 6 TO
NIU - 0 A, 7 TO
BG - 2 A, 2 TO
Ball St - 0 A, 6 TO
Kent St - 2 A, 4 TO
Toledo - 1 A, 2 TO
WMU - 2 A, 3 TO
Ball St - 1 A, 3 TO
NIU - 2 A, 4 TO
Akron - 3 A, 5 TO
Miami - 2 A, 6 TO

TOTAL - 51 A, 106 TO, 0.48 A/TO
MAC TOTALS - 15 A, 42 TO, 0.33 A/TO
Games w/ more assists than TO - 2 (still)

15 total assists in 10 conference games from our healthy FT starting Point Guard.

There are 2 players ahead of TK in turnovers, they also lead the country in assists, Ja Morant of Murray St (233) and Josh Sharkey of Samford (201). While ranking #3 in the country in turnovers, I can't tell you where TK ranks in assists because no lists exist that long.

I still maintain that if someone was able to dig into the data, TK is on his way to the worst A/TO ratio in the history of the NCAA for a guard with a minimum of about 800 minutes. It doesn't seem possible to amass those numbers and still get the minutes. To that point, this achievement is sort of a dual achievement between TK and Saul.

With coaching change looming, it will not surprise me if he takes off after this year. Hard to believe the numbers are trending even worse.

TK was aggressive Saturday and actually played one of his best games in a while. He was about the only one putting ball in basket. Again, if we shoot 25% as a team, how many assists can you really rack up? I'm not justifying such an upside-down ratio, but to blame TK for all of these issues is really missing the big picture. Basketball is still a team game.
