Used to attend the NBA Summer league when it was in Long Beach, California. It was fun to see old pros on the tail end of their careers, who were trying to eek out one last free agent contract, mixing it up with recent draft picks and undrafted college kids from years past, who were still trying to achieve their dreams. I hope that Mr. Campbell elevates his perceived worth while there.

Campbell may find it tough to get PT this summer. The other bigs are Orlando's top two draft picks (Bamba and Frazier, who's listed as a G/F) and two guys already on their roster (Isaac and Iwundu). I didn't see all of last night's game on ESPN2, but he did get in toward the end with Orlando up by 20. He clunked a couple of 3s before getting a bucket and a FT.

That goes to show just how many professional leagues there are in the world and how many truly talented players are out there. DJ Cooper and Tony Campbell dominate their overseas leagues and can't sniff meaningful NBA summer league minutes.

Orlando plays Phoenix tonight at 9:30 on NBA TV for folks truly desperate for sports entertainment.
