Anybody know if it's allowable (by coaching staff or powers that be) to watch practice? I work near the Convo, and more than once I have walked up to the round house on a break and seen the guys on the floor either scrimmaging or running through drills. Never had the testicular fortitude to actually stay and watch for a few minutes. I've never been a big fan of being told to get the ____ out of anywhere.

I don't know, but like you, I'd be curious to know the official policy. I know I've been in there during practice a few times over the years, but was I supposed to be? I don't really know.

I saw you in there. NO one even noticed you were there. Kind of expect it on Saturdays. I don't think Ohio really has controlled folks in and out under TOS, Groce or Saul. I been chased out of Balls under Ronnie Thompson after being welcome to watch under McCallum, Majerus, Hunsaker. Whit is pretty cool about having folks in there now as well. Most of those guys know a Gym Rat when they see one and trust/know that what you see there stays there.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....

Coach Phillips comes and talks to a group (of which I am a member) each year before the season starts. In his talk either last season, or the one before, he invited us to come watch practice anytime. He gave us pretty detailed information about their practice schedule, sufficient to seem like he was making a genuine invitation. So, the possibility for attending certainly exists. I cannot say if the invitation is still good, or if he makes such offers to all who would be interested. For what it's worth, his talk was not a part of any sponsorship-seeking activities, as our group does not sponsor OU Athletics monetarily - other than to say a number of members hold season tickets.

My suggestion is to just show up. You'll have a good story either way. "Hey, I been watching practices...." or "Hey, I got kicked out of practice..."

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

It's all fun and games until Doug Taylor is chasing you out of the building.

My money says if coach knows you - if he sees you - he will just smile and wave at you
