We and Akron are in great situations. SP has his players, plus two schollies for this year and two for next. Groce has 5 or 6 schollies, so he will have his team well in place within the next three years. Nobody despises to lose more than I do. Lots of Jaaron, Ndour, Campbell retweets. And virtually nothing about his current team. it makes his departure all the more confusing. he clearly has a deep bond with this team, why did he leave? It is, however, important to consider who his departure has allowed Ohio to recruit who might now be important to the team. And I'm not just referring to him specifically, but just as a general thought. Every player that leaves opens up a chance for someone new, who might be just as important in the long run to the program. Example: the decommits of JC recruits probably paved the way for Kaminski and Simmons to transfer to Ohio. On that occasion, I call that a recruiting win for Ohio. Ohio has all 13 scholarships filled for 2016-17 with expectation of 3 opening up at end of season for seniors (Campbell, Kaminski, Mompremier) - 6/26/16" Gareri commits - 7/28/16: Butler commits - 8/1/16: Vander Plas commits Ohio lands 3 freshmen based on that expectation. Key in those final paragraphs is that the receiving school (seemingly) currently pays no price at all. I'm curious if the player doesn't actually graduate with a graduate degree if it hurts APR? Correct me if I'm wrong, but if they don't get the undergraduate degree, it hurts APR, and ultimately costs scholarships.
