I think the Zips had something like 7 players on its 2016-17 roster from Texas. Nikola Rakicevic's knee problems is forcing him to give up basketball. I did not know this prior to this development, but apparently Buffalo didn't have a scholarship open for Mizzou transfer PG Wes Clark. I think that without Tone we will be misjudged and the preview magazines will focus on "OU lost Tony Campbell, Jaaron Simmons, Kenny Kaminski and Rodney Culver." This will be misguided though as we will return a VERY solid core in Laster, Block, Taylor, Carter and Dartis while adding what I think will be solid veteran in Mickle. Buffalo returns the most quality at this point with Perkins, Massinburg, Smart and Carruthers so they will get more play. Adding Clark as a transfer is huge as well and Graves will be a MAC stud. But I think we have the best incoming class in the MAC with all 4 making an impact. And I think it says a lot that Buffalo was willing to let him be on the team without a scholarship. They'd rather give one to some freshmen like Graves than him. There's even talk in that article I posted that they might not even give Clark the open scholly.
