While Ken Pomeroy's numbers show improvement in their defense thus far (from 106.9 points/100 possessions and 236th nationally last year to 100.9 and 113 nationally this year), it has not shown up in their two losses. They've been over 1 point per possession against Marshall (1.20) and Iona (1.11). I think they have more willing defenders this year. But Tony absolutely refuses to fight for post position on defense. He allows easy passes into the post and then tries to rely on his great hands for strips and blocks. Which leads to easy buckets for the other team and foul trouble for Tony.
