My look is they have Beefs a bit low. Iona higher, Marshall close to us, WKU not far off. If we have good results vs the supposed "cupcakes" on the Non Conf schedule, and the best on the road, then we can be where I think we should - top 100 going into MAC. Then - perform as We expect to in MAC and can get in the top 64 mix - exceed expectations and we are in a Great Spot

"Isaiah Johnson could grow into the best big man in the conference." How much more can he grow? He's the biggest human in the conference.

Until proven otherwise, I don't see the Zips as high as they've been in years past. I consider the departures of McAdams and Kretzer to be huge.

I agree- not nearly enough love given to the Beefs. I think BG will be better as well.

They are not exactly high on the MAC this year. Here a breakdown of where they have the entire conference (last year's KenPom in parenthesis):

78. Akron (89)
115. Ohio (141)
146. NIU (165)
149. BSU (155)
164. Buffalo (138)
192. CMU (158)
213. Kent State (179)
238. WMU (181)
256. Toledo (123)
273. EMU (150)
281. BGSU (230)
289. Miami (247)

We had two teams finish in the 200s last year. CBS has half the conference there this year.

The "potential" is there for Football to be final four. Wes, please get help, delusion is a treatable disease.

If the MAC had a final four for football...

The final four is the playoff. The only way to make the playoff from a G5 program that I can see is if you win a NYD bowl the year before and return your starting QB. An NYD bowl is first and before that a MAC Championship. Solich has made 3 MAC Championships so he proved that he can contend for a MAC title but to prove he can contend for an NYD bowl he has to start winning MACCs. To prove that contending for a playoff is realistic you've got to win NYD bowls as Boise State and Houston have done. It is theoretically possible at Ohio but its several steps beyond where Solich has the program at the moment.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

I am looking forward to the season based on what I have seen up close and personal. This is a team with some interesting chemistry.

Borna, can you elaborate? Interesting - good, right?

Absolutely good. These guys like each other. Watching teams for years and there is always a faction with in the locker room. No matter how hard you try there is a pecking order or guys that seperate themselves from the rest by attitude, intent or just by personality. Not here, they all fit, they all support each other, they all are headed in the same direction with no counter current present. On the floor that shows up in all the little things. No egos counteracting each other, no one upsmanship and no personal stuff. I really like watching how they interact and support each other. Taking all that extraneous stuff away lets them focus on the bigger goal. Sharing the ball, looking for the better shot and the extra pass make them really enjoyable to watch. I like this team. Just got to keep coaching them up and getting them ready

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Pay no attention to this garbage. Horrible job of rating the teams. EMU #273?! They are arguably in the top three or four in the league. Somebody didn't do much research.
