I'd come up with some silly remark about patience, but I'm equally impatient in my desire to set up early season plans.

FWIW, the number of schools with a fully released schedule are less than roughly 1/3 of the country.

If there are contracts still out it might be a problem to release a schedule before you have them finalized.

4 Saturday home games in conference including Akron. Miami at home to close out the season on a Friday. 4 pretty tough true road games OOC.

Can't complain too much about the conference schedule. We double dip with EMU and WMU out of the West and get CMU at home. Akron at home on a Saturday for once. Easy Saturday road trips to Kent and BG. Close it out with two home games.

Urbana is, whatever, I get it. At Western Kentucky is a good challenge and usually a strong mid-major program. Hopefully that comes with a return to Athens.

The only issue I have with the schedule is that the MAC tournament is during Spring Break.

OOC road-tripping looks to be a bit sparse this year, only a couple possibilities without skipping work.

In conference looks pretty do-able though.

If we are who we think we are, W/L record should be nice with this schedule.

Oof. The back to back trips to Ball State and EMU sandwiched between Akron, CMU and BG late in the season.

Pretty manageable schedule though. Looks like Ohio should improve its record over last year by a few games for sure.

I'm glad to see that Akron game on a Saturday. No excuse for The Roundhouse to have less than 11,500+ that day.

Agreed on WKU - mentioned that to someone else that I think that's possibly the best team we'll play in non-conf, if not all year. New coach, quality transfers, big time following and nice arena. If they are a return to Athens, and we know Iona is, that's a nice pair of home games next year.

I envision trips to at least BG and Muncie this year.

Unfortunately that Miami game is after the dorms close at 6 on Friday before Spring Break.

The MAC is going to be very tough this year. I don't see WKU as better than the entire MAC.

Possibly, maybe even probably. Maybe I'm reaching on that, but I do know they've added several high profile transfers. Admittedly, I'm not sure which ones are eligible to play this year. I'd say their program is better than a bunch of teams in the MAC, that much I'm sure of.

I think the MAC is going to be tough as usual this year. You look at Kron with their guards, Little Dog and Cheatham and the sharpshooting sophomore. You have Buffalo minus Bearden but still deep and talented. Northern was fairly young last year. Toledo always has athletes and while I think Senderoff sucks he usually has some players. Western and Central are solid...basically it will be difficult but this year's team needs challenged. I think we will be fine. It will come down to how well Gavin picks up Treg's spot and how deep we can be. If Culver and/or Carter can contribute major minutes like Block did we can look good.

WKU has 3 Grad transfers eligible to play this year after recently getting a commitment from "Pancake" Thomas who averaged almost 19 points a game last year. Plus if it's a return game we get to welcome Bearden back to the Convo.

I'm having a forgetful moment - who is the Akron sharp shooter you're referencing? When I think of shooters for them, McAdams and Kretzer are all I remember, but they're both graduated.
